i was surfing the internet and aftr comeing across some links ell madly in love with bleach i am a newbi to it but i thought that it might be fun do do a crate a Zanpakuto contest.
i think a template might be in order.
Name:

I i shall go first.
Name: The Crows Rapier. 'Kemuriha Kuroryu'
appearence: it appears an O-katana with a Rapier style hilt. The spirit manifests as a humanoid, feathered, Akashita.
Shikai: it turns into a Large scythe with two blades covered with black featers. it is activated by the command 'Twin Crescent'.
Bankai: the scyth disapears and the user wears a long robe made up of thousands feathers. his sword arm is turned into a three fingered black bbird claw. with two long, scythlike talons and one small apposable claw.
Abilities: in it's shikai form it grants the user control of the winds, the ability to fly using large black wings and slash far away objects via air currents. He may also changes wind dirrection or stop breezes all together.
In it Bankai form the user can still control air currents but can separate into thousands of crows. the can fly independantly under the control of the user and may join togather to form the user again. the crows can fly fast and togather can reate small storms and cyclones. the crows multiply overtime and can be killed individulay. the user returns to his normal form if the crows suffer severe mass reduction. when the crows reach a certain mass it turns into a large, Akashita-like featherd serpent.
as a newbie, it may be a little off.

Name: Shiromaru(white circle)
Appearance: A long white, slender blade, bamboo handle, no hilt.
Spirit is a swan made of crystal clear water.
Shikai: A long, white, slender blade, bamboo handle, with a white, circular hilt that can shine and send a telekinetic shockwave to attack enemy. Water manipulation. Release command is "Dance"
Bankai: Grant wielder a pair of white wings and white robes. Blade becomes crystalline with twists in the handle. Increased speed and stamina. Water manipulation. Can summon water out of nowhere. Water can be stored in the handle to make medicine that can heals ANYTHING, even death. Black clouds, thunder and rain can be summoned at will. Command is "Flow, flow, flow"

interesting. allow me to add my own.
Name: Raikiri
Appearance: a silver split-bladed weapon crackling with lightning. can be wielded in one hand even though it is over a metre long. The spirit manifests as an armored warrior with a slightly upsized version of the sword.
Shikai: the sword morphs into a near-impossibly thin katana, its blade formed entirely from lightning. activated by the command "Thunder Fury".
Bankai: the weapon's hilt splits in two, forming two identical swords, then forms an aura of electrical energy around the wielder as long as both swords are held. This aura will be conducted by anything used against the wielder with hostile intent and the shocks are strong enough to kill. it will also be conducted through water or metals.
Abilities: can paralyse anything living which can conduct electricity and control storms and wind magic to a certain extent. the Shikai form increases the reactions of the user and would, in theory, allow them to cut bolts of lightning with the sword. the Bankai form massively increases the wielder's speed and, due to the electromagnetic forces it generates, allows levitation and limited control of magnetism for telekinesis. the regular form can attract, absorb and repel lightning bolts if the user needs an energy top-up or a lightning-based ranged weapon.
heh. yes, I like wind and lightning magic. unless my memory decieves me, Raikiri means "Lightning Stab".

hmm, i know it's probably not my place to say, being a noob, but resurreccion is the ability used by hollows after they take off their masks isn't it?

I wouldn't know since I have no interest in Bleach and have never watched it. the reason this caught my attention is because all I know about it is that a Zanpakuto is a sword.

heh. if you so wish, I won't oppose you.
Name: Masamune
Appearance: a long, white katana with a slight blue glow around the edges. Spirit manifests as an Archangel.
Shikai: the sword extends and broadens, transforming it into a Longsword. the glow disappears but the blade itself becomes blue. activated by the command "Radiant Edge".
Bankai: the weapon disappears and the user gains a white hooded robe and three pairs of wings.
Abilities:
regular: can destroy unholy or demonic beings with a touch. provides light due to its aura. cannot damage those with pure hearts.
Shikai: can cut almost any material and destroy any being or creation of darkness on contract. cannot damage those with pure hearts.
Bankai: allows flight and control of light. can transform light energy into solid form, allowing it to be used as a weapon.
Name: Muramasa
Appearance: an almost impossibly black broadsword. it shines an evil red. the spirit manifests as a greater Demon.
Shikai: the sword extends and widens, creating the sort of greatsword which should require at least four arms to wield. it is unusually light, however, and can be wielded in one hand if the user is skilled.
Bankai: an identical copy of the sword is formed from shadow and the wielder morphs into a semi-demonic being with scales rather than skin.
Abilities:
regular: dims light in its presence and draws life from its victims. corrupts the soul of the wielder.
Shikai: can control shadows to a limited extent and destroy any material except the Masamune and its wielder on contact. However, the effect is lessened on those with pure hearts and prevented on those who have wielded the Muramasa in the past.
Bankai: can form shadows into solid weapons and remove the soul of its victims. if this form is succesfully attacked by the Masamune in any form the Muramasa will be destroyed, but the power of the Masamune will also deplete, which is the reason nobody has dared activate its Bankai form in such a duel.

going for the gemini approach, nice.
i probably might hav to petition the idea so we don't just have say thre people rping by themselfs. i think at last ix, three on one side three on the other. we wont need such black and white distinctions of good and evil.
i'm going to stay with my one sword.

consider this: I just took a look at the article on Zanpakutos on Wikipedia. it seems Resurrection is the name given to the ability used by a Hollow who has sealed their Hollow powers into a Zanpakuto and become apparently human. use of the technique returns their powers and thus returns them to their Hollow form until deactivated.

Name: Futon (Wind Art)
App. : The blade is an impossible emerald green, and is almost a mirage to look at. Almost impossible to detect or see. Grants the user extreme speed and stealth powers, and powerful slashes. Spirit manifests as a huge green dragon.
Shikai: It turns into a huge emerald ring, like a razor disc and three meters in diameter. Flies at over 60000 miles an hour when thrown. Creates huge torrents of air that can slice through solid steel. Activated by the command "Emerald Wind".
Bankai: You turn into a huge green dragon (only spiritually) and have power over wind for a limited amount of time.
Command: "Torrent"

heh. now THAT'S what I call a wind sword. it'd be interesting to test your Futon against my Raikiri.
I have one more sword to add, after this I think I'll have enough for the good guys. I don't know how any I make for Hollows will work out.
Name: Fushichô (Immortal Bird/Phoenix)
Appearance: an apparently normal longsword with shimmering red runes etched into the blade.
Shikai: the sword changes shape to become a Daggertail whip and the runes shine brighter. in this form the blade glows red. activated by the command "Myst's Flames be upon you.".
Bankai: the user's body is surrounded by an aura of flame, which extends into wings from their back. the sword changes into two sets of metallic claws which protrude from the gaps between the user's knuckles.
Abilities:
standard: can destroy ice on contact unless formed by magic. the edge is far sharper than it appears and the sword is lighter than it should be, but anyone other than the true wielder is unable to lift it.
Shikai: can extend to near-unlimited size as long as the target is within the user's vision. the blade will pierce or melt most objects on contact. the whip can also be used to harpoon objects and bring them to the wielder, or as a grappling hook if you can see the object you wish to grab.
Bankai: allows control of fire. will only burn things the user wishes to burn, but can incinerate anything on contact. allows flight. can be extinguished and deactivated by removing the claws or dousing the user with water or ice, preferably by dunking them in an ocean or a comet.

Name: Raikage (Thunder Shadow)
App. : A broardsword, black in colour, that has blue jolts of electricity running down its blade. Has a leather covered handle and a short hilt. Spirit is that of a huge raven with blue electric wings.
Shikai: Engulfs user in a huge black sphere when attacked. Nullifies all attacks, but slowly corrupts soul. Shocks of lightning will attack anybody or anything within a radius of three meters. Appearance is an impossibly bright AND dark blade at the same time, has paralysis effects and can blind. Activated by the command, "Engulf".
Bankai: You become hollow-posessed, with dark gold robes and a pair of black draconic wings. You can unleash massive bolts of lightning or orbs of pure shadow from your body and this will mostly be a one hit kill. Destroys anything within a five-meter radius from where you stand.
Command: "Unseal! Darkness's Wrath!"
