yeeaah... you make it seem harsh. when it comes to this it seems chaos and ~AZN~Ac3~ (it took me ages to attempt typing that) break out into a savage competition.

precisely. One of my swords is a counter to his, one is a counter to Faye's (I think. was it water and ice she used?) and one is a counter to another of mine.

"The sonic speed and boom technically affect the user too; Mamoru just angles itself to protect the user even from those after the Guard command is given." I see, so they æan create some very powerful offensive attacks when repelled correctly. However, the user would be set in a loop, and eventually get hit/blown away. "Actually Ichigo has Shikai. Zangetsu was called a 'constant release-type' in the manga at some point, I remember. In other words it has no sealed form and no need to be 'released' into Shikai, since Zangetsu is in permanent Shikai." I knew that, it was in the anime. He just hasn't mastered it - look at the fighting style of H!chi, or anything you could potentially do with zangetsu.Ichigo just tries to get at enemey by hitting them repatively, with some Getsugas in the mix. "Ichigo versus Mamoru's wielder... Ichigo is too stubborn not to keep attacking. If it became a close-range brawl Ichigo/Zangetsu and Mamoru would just batter on each other until Ichigo used his Character Shield to win. Or otherwise he'd just raise into Bankai. There is a limit to how fast Mamoru could move to defend the wielder, and since Ichigo was so fast in Bankai that Byakuya had trouble keeping up with him, eventually Ichigo would work a blow through Mamoru's defense and end it." I meant both in bankai form - in Shikai, the only hope Ichigo has is to attack at two angles same time - wait, he is too stupid to do that - or try to break the Mamoru with excess power. Assuming Mamoru user isn't that weak to have his/her slayer broken, Ichigo would lose. And if Mamoru user would be more experienced, Ichigo would be doomed for certain due sonic boom chain. In bankai, Ichigo could still be countered by the same sonic boom tactic, albeit due speed limits, it needs to be used proactively here, meaning user has to put itself in danger instead whereby Ichigo would be forced to just back away "a little".Ichigo would still win, but kidou user could last long enough to both defend from hollow form and to get some sonic boom attacks in atleast.Win is debatable though, albeit it is sure it needs well-used kidou. I don't like instant kills overpowered zanpakuto. A lot. There is no point in making overpowered one because that won't be used anyway. It always needs to have weaknesses - just like Aizen's shikai, despite being one of the most powerful defensive slayers, has some. LoC: yeah, that is correct.Japanse don't have plurals. However, when impaled uncertain number, but a lot, generally used number is 100.

Kenpachi Zaraki also has a constant-released Zanpakutou

Nope, he hasn't discovered the name yet, atleast in anime it hasn't been mentioned.
His sword spirit is too weak to reach him. As a result, ken-chan whoops snuggly area! with quite regular katana.

The hilt is quite unusual for a seal Zanpakutou...

I looked on Wikipedia and there's one guy who has so much energy his Zanpakuto is stuck in Shikai form even though he doesn't know its name.

The hilt is quite unusual for a seal Zanpakutou... Well, it is still a normal sword. Ken-chan relased slayer is the same type of a fifth squad vice-captain, toushiro friend's whose name escapes me.

Name: Mayakashi
Appearance: A typical katana, with a grip wrapped in white sharkskin. Spirit manifests as a snake-like creature with a chameleon's ability to change color.
Shikai form: The blade becomes thin and razor-sharp, glasslike in appearance. This clearness of the blade makes it hard to follow with the naked eye.
Bankai form: The blade becomes almost invisible, leaving what appears to be a heat-shimmer in motion as the blade moves in and out of sight.
Abilities: The Shikai form of Mayakashi has no marked abilities of its own besides the sudden clearness of the blade. When angled correctly the crystal-like blade can cause light shimmers, making it appear as if the blade is actually going to strike higher or lower than it trully does..
Mayakashi possesses two abilities during Bankai release, one of which is an extension of the Shikai release as the blade approaches invisibility, appearing to the naked eye as a heat shimmer as it moves. This makes tracking the blade, and defending against its strikes, much more difficult, and one trick the wielder has been known to pull is to reverse his grip on the blade, making it angle down rather than up. When the target defends against the strike, he finds himself defending against nothing at all, leaving the wielder free to exploit the hole in the target's defense. Mayakashi's second ability is that of invisibility of the wielder. By activating this ability of the zanpakto, Mayakashi's wielder appears to vanish from sight as the blade generates a small area around the wielder that light bends around rather than lands on, generating a sort of 'invisibility field'. Thus even things like being doused with paint would fail to reveal the wielder of Mayakashi if this ability is activated. If anyone in the area notes anything at all it will be simply that they saw movement out of the corner of their eye, not an uncommon experience, especially in the adrenaline rush of battle. Tracking by sound is still possible, however, as the blade can do nothing to prevent sound waves.

interesting. I think the way to fight the wielder of that weapon would be to find out not where they ARE, but where they are NOT. The idea of throwing paint at them, for example - the weapon doesn't make them intangible, so the area where the paint disappeared would be where they are. I presume they'd still leave footprints in the paint, too.
