But do you guys think it is worth the time or money in a world with Tank players and Mages?

The question isn't really 'Is the ranger a good build in a world with tanks and mages,' but 'Is the ranger build a good idea in a world where 99.9% of ranged weapons make using class abilities and special attacks totally impossible?'
For the record, I say no. There are too many drawbacks with the game like it is now to make Ranger worth the trouble.
