Question about paladins

what's the best paladin armor and how do you get it? I know there's lesser golden plate but that implies that there must be a greater golden plate...right? Wondering if anyone has any idea about this since the armor section of the main site has been down for some time now. thanks!

(Golden) Holy Armor. It's the ONLY Paladin armor.

Golden Plate's been rare for a very long time now, it was the uber set prior to the Nightmare set.

I appreciate it. It really sucks you can't get the strongest armor for that class anymore. Paladin's skill set is rivaled by none as far as full on muscle goes. Being able to double your health in a battle and have a possibility to ressurect is rediculous. Seems Necro and Paladin are both waaaaay more powerful than the other classes.

Golden Armor isn't a class armor and one reason necro and paladin are stronger is that you have to be so far in other classes before you can train them

Yah but not much. I maxed out the other classes enough to get necro and paladin in about a week. I guess it isn't meant to be an impossible grind, since the game is more casual than most... But more to the topic, what you're saying is that this particular uber armor wasn't a class item? Then why does the lesser version's flavor text make a reference to the paladin class. @ -- @ That is very confusing.

It isn't a class armor. It's just equipment that a Paladin used. The only Paladin class armors are Holy Armor and Golden Holy Armor. No others allow access to the Paladin skills.

And because of the drawbacks present on a lot of Paladin's skills, Necro is generally considered far superior.

Necro allows for MP regeneration, has an ability that deals 1000% weapon damage, and generally decent defenses.

Paladin only looks like it can keep up. Resurrect isn't as good as Necro's Lich ability, as Lich offers a resurrection with a massively powerful Lich Form. Lay On Hands requires what, 90 turns to charge a full heal? And Holy Might... I don't know how it's supposed to rival Undead Mutant's power, but the KoO swear up and down it does.

Paladin is only better than Necro in two regards - Holy Light and Daimyo. And neither makes it better than Necro.

Holy Light is better than Holy Might in my opinion. It's about half the MP cost for, in my experience, comparable damage.

Holy Might is just a basically buffed UG, with more MP cost.

I got more consistent damage out of UG WITHOUT the stat bonuses than with Holy Might. Face it, Paladin does not stand up to any of Necro's offensive skills.

With 200 str it will, but 1 thing, holy might only comes in light, or fire/X element sumtime when it's a trigger
