I bought the darkness weapon and am still eyeing the ice weapon,I can just never decide what to get rid of.I try to keep ahold of the best or better of each type, but also have one or two just because they're nifty, but fell free to tell me what to sell and or if the new weapons should or shouldn't be snagged etc.I can never wrap my head around all these stats and math and conversions and percentages,so when theres a war and the weapons, armour, items, etc look decent enough i buy them up just so I don't miss the event and end up missing out on a snazzy item, the problem is my curse of limited space.Getting new stronger/better items and equipment is about all I have left to look forward to in this game anymore.

Fry- The darkness weapon ,this is in simple, is more of a novelty items that just looks pretty. Although it does have a pretty nice special of being able to cast "Grave rot" and nice BTH is till lacks some of the potent power ,like weapons such as ShadowSpear have. This is probably why it is reflected in the price...
A 550 000 weapon should be better then a 90 000 priced weapon hehe.
It was a fairly dismal war in the way of new challenges there were no unique monsters ( Wyrms or NightMare chess pieces ) except those Brilihdo Necromancers. The boss was really fun for me he got me to 35 hp when I killed him hehe. The thing I liked about this war is that it had a cut scene in the middle to break it up abit.

I'm going back for take 2. This time I know exactly what I need.
As many potions as I can find, RUB, Lich form, Night shield, Stone Sign and Illuminate Ultra. I think I'd have won last time if I hadn't started casting it so late.
Oh, and the fact that even with the Sign equipped I had -20 END didn't help much.

You know, the longer you let the battle drag on, the more nerfed you become.
The fact that it can attack multiple times a row isn't helping either.

I used shadow cloak, father time shield once, then golden shield. Then just spammed Riiptide because it was the least mana consuming and I don't own Illuminator Ultra.
The first time I did it I used Bunny Jammies Ironthorn and Crystal Blade(Magic) which didn't go down well,( I thought he'd be weak hehe.)

AHEM. Notice that I'm not a rare collector or a farmer. I don't have the cash for items like that. A lot of strategies have that problem.
Unfortunately for the boss I realised Lich form has reasonable darkness defense, and that's all he can hit me with.
edit: new theory on bosses. Easy way: Pure mage. Hard way: Pure Warrior. Ugly way: Pure ranger. H4X way: Zardwarts Sturdy Wand.

You don't have to be a farmer , just do what I do and get something like 20-25K a day (4-5K of which comes from Balyhoo). Also if you really need charge up lay on hands?

Naw, I don't need Lay On Hands. Why bother when you can have a Guardian Angel WITHOUT the 90-turn charge?
Yes, I won. I got a full heal before it got me below half my HP, so I got two full MP bars of Illuminate Ultra. Sadly I had to sell Illuminate Ultra to buy a new darkness weapon. After all, the Nihilus Staves aren't exactly powerful and they don't have a decent special.
edit: I bought the regular Illuminate. Shouldn't take too long to resave for Ultra.

Only now I remember that I was supposed to say something related to this.
That's now how AQ works. You make a good low charisma pet, Beast Masters could overpower themselves with it. You make a good pet with high CHA requirement, you make a pet that is good/decent for Beast Masters, and decent/bareable for other people.
The only way I could have seen a "good low CHA pet" would mean it to be a Z-Token pet, because those are already off the scale because you have to pay REAL MONEYS for them. Or wait for your Tokens to pile up for a long time.
I think that was all.

Low cha pets are never stronger than beast pets, and even token pets are still suck if you don't have cha,i mean a 40-60% attack chance is just not good enough. And the strongest water pet is some freakin penguin thats does 22 avg with 200cha and it rare!!! So AQ staff better make some good water pets. On topic:Love the animation of the war,the boss, the rewards, yet they still are useless crap to me. I guess the sweep on mages has begun(see rune staff and scorp staff)

It's called Octopirate. High damage in Ice/Water. Most monsters who are weak to water have difficulties with Ice as well.
