Oh well you could've posted that in the accomplishment thread. DOY
I really hope that they make the SC cheap. Or I'll sue them for emotional and psychological distress.

Don't spread misinformation. This is supposed to be the ULTIMATE AQ information resource.
Star Captain costs 19.95$, with 5 more bucks, you can get the 2000 extra Nova gems. If you don't get them, and go with the 19.95$ deal, you get 200 Nova Gems in your character.
The whole account upgrade costs 29.95$, with the same '5 more bucks for 2000 more *insert fancy currency here for the fancy equipment*".
I think. I'd check the whole account upgrade, but I'm lazy. I just bought my SC yesterday, can't bother going through the process again, even if just for checking out the small details. :\

Gears Classes beginning Wednesday! Energy Blades will be released this Wednesday. This release is going to feature the Energy Blade training class at the university. Yes, you heard correctly - classes will officially begin on Wednesday! This is a huge update because we have developed an entirely new non-mech battle system (see Nov 6th) that is being tested right now as I write this. We realize that many of you are eager to have Mechquest assume a regular release schedule. So, we are going to try to implement Mechquest releases on Wednesdays. The game is still in its early stages, so it might take us a couple of weeks to get regular - (send prunes!) . Once things get rolling, we will have MechQuest Wednesdays, AdventureQuest Thursdays and DragonFable Fridays!
After the Energy Blades, the next release will be the police zone, complete with brand new items, a new mecha, werewolves and a mysterious crime spree in Soluna City!
This game has been so much fun to work on! We have so many surprises coming up. We have had so many hysterical laughing fits during the design process and can't wait to share everything with you.
werewolfs?? wierd its the future

Doesn't mean they don't exist. For all we know, Lycanthropy and maybe Vampirism as well arrived to Lore from outer space. And err, what the he- it's NOT the future. If you actually read things, you'd know it's more like the frigging PAST. Five THOUSAND years into the past from AQ/DF(roughly, give or take a few years).

Obviously the technology collapsed. Either due to nuclear or similar warfare, bioplague or then the good old Devourer killed everyone. Or almost everyone, and those left couldn't for whatever the reason use the technology anymore.
Or then, Lore never was a part of the MQ universe, and the mecha that crashlanded was piloted by humans not related to the humans of Lore.

The Reset is the obvious explanation. What it is I don't know but it's nothing to do with me. yet.

It is so frustratingly obvious! All of the humans are running around playing with their big machines and then the Devourer comes along and kills everyone. Except a few like Warlic and Artix who escape with your characterand decide not to use the technology ever again. OR they do this big swap thing where they trade their technology for magic or something. But don't listen to me. I'm just a crazy Brit. ;^)

Or then the Reset was actually a ritual of resurrection, meaning that they died, got rez'ed and are now the people we know in AQ and DF. Whether or not they actually know this is uncertain. Most likely not. Those idiots couldn't keep their mouths shut from something like that for five seconds.
