here's the Dragon King form I have. weapon cost 65K and is fire, don't remember the level. defenses: melee: 30 ranged: 30 magic: 30 resists: fire: 85 water: 105 wind: 95 ice: 115 earth: 95 energy: 95 light: 115 darkness: 85
in other words, I could do better with Pzycho Fiend form and just use the salvation blade to avoid specials.

new items, the Spine weapons. apparently they can both freeze and paralyse, though presumably not on the same special.

The Spine weapons are excellent.
The problem is I can't get the only one I can actually use, it's got a requirement of level 98. -_-

I can get any of them, but I don't know if it's worth it or not to me....i've got to wait on nemu-sama's and xelemental's verdicts.

Fry: The highest level Spine is 9-29 melee ice, 11% BTH. The special is incredibly powerful, with an 18% chance of dealing a total of 750% damage with a +25% BTH, and it has the Nightmare Set's set effect: If all three hits of the special connect, it first checks to see if the monster's Ice resistance is above 100%. If yes, it attempts to freeze. If not, it Paralyzes instead.
In short, this is a standalone Uber and well worth the money. The special is high damage enough that it won't adversely affect the damage output of even the highest damage modifiers from armor, and the fact that it can freeze and paralyze means that you'll be able to put a stop even to monsters with high Ice resistance, making it a very unique and useful weapon.
So the Frozen Time Spines definitely have the Drago seal of approval. I'd bet cold hard cash Nemu and xelemental are going to agree.

I agree. being a Mage-slant hybrid has its advantages, but those who want to go for pure warrior shouldn't be completely blanked out.

This is one of those days that I wish that I had actually bothered leveling some of my other chars.
