Where do you see room for a 9th orb? I only see the already filled 8 spots and the statue in the middle?Also you can open the window right above the statue by clicking on it.Dunno if you already knew but I just figured it out for myself.

statue has head, does it not? who says part of the head can't be missing and the orb used to replace it?
that would cause light to shine through the eyes of the statue, the Orb...
light shining through the void orb could summon the devourer? NOBODY OPEN THE WINDOW!
