Ok well I found this service battery thing on www.codejunkies.com and I was wondering if anyone understands this kind of stuff. I dont like my psp's firmware so I decided that I would buy the battery The exact link to the product So will I need anything else with this battery tool or will the battery downgrade me to 1.50 so I will only have to install the new firmware... It is all confusing to me.... Which is strange because I usually pickup technology and programming stuff very easily... Any help would be great 0_o

Lets see. I've never had a PSP so yeah, don't take me for an expert. Just saying what I understood.
The battery doesn't apparently downgrade you or anything like that. It just gives you access to Service Mode, that you can use to boot software that is on your Memory Stick. Whatever software that is again, srsly, no idea.
And... that's it apparently. You don't need anything else than a PSP, it's battery and this kit to do whatever you intend to do again.

Yes, but I think while in service mode it gives you the option to go to the original firmware (1.5) But im not sure, which is why I am asking... So anyone here used a service battery/ pandora battery? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri1eGBb4Kds&feature=relatedThis shows a guy using the battery and at the end it says version 1.5.... There is also a thing on the internet saying if you have a certain model number your psp will be bricked if you downgrade or something... I don't get it really. Ok I figured it out. I need the battery tool to load the custom firmware which is on my newly formatted memory stick loaded with the firmware. YAY Youtube!
