It took me 3 or 4 tries. I only used coil, regen, scales, and breath. I may have used roar a few times when I was feeling lucky but I wouldn't try and bet on it. Your main focus should be on defense. every time you have a chance for coil or regen, use it. Between healing just use scales and hit him with breath. It also is good to switch to energy or fire element since he has a -20 weakness to it.

MQ's update is the planet Westion, inhabited by bandits, humanoid horses (no species name yet >_>) and... DRAKEL.
Finally we get to find out how the scaly so-and-sos started out. This should be interesting. Funny thing is, they wear suits. Really. Fly to Westion by starship and head all the way left.
edit: Oh, and I DID beat the Guardian Dragon... just. Took me about 5 tries but I managed it. The skill is 4 hits of metal damage... I presume it's the weapon's element since the Guardian Blade does metal and you need that equipped to use it.

'tis true. The reputation thing gets harder once you hit 50. Trying to find a repair station so you can do more fights might be a good idea, I've not tried yet.

This is MQ-stuff but whatever.
You don't even need to do more battles to get sum street cred. In what I saw, it is completely random whether or not you get cred. You might do 3 battles and get no cred, or do 1 battle and then return and get cred.
Obviously it is a better idea to do 1 battle over and over again and get the cred that way, it's faster, and I don't think out there in the desert is actually anything more but "treasure" which is credits.
Most I found was 297. And it took a lot of walking, and two battles. Not really worth it.
