heyhey. i gave up on my last one. i think it was th lack of action that stopped people reding it. to much politics. hopefully this one will be better.
chapter 1 : Darkness falls. literally.
Alex sat in class, well slept if i was telling the truth. but the story i'm telling you may be full of alot of lies, or i may just be bending the truth. whatever it is, this story may be to horrible and unpleasent for your puny human minds to handle. anyway were was i? oh yeas.
alex slept in class, he had hardly any sleep last night. or the night before. or before that even. he sttarted renting dozens of horror films from the local library (which he used to take out horror books from until he found the wonders of 'land of the dead'.) and started watching them.
they diddn't scare him, mind you that wasn't why he was kept up at night. in fact he used to watch the same movie three times oover in one night alone, and mabey even watch a second one. he watched so many he couldent even write a poem for english class of a work of what could be loosely defined as art without it involving a zombie or a plauge. he was popular at school and had blonde hai- wait i'm being side tracked again, i'll try not to do that again.
anyways he slep in class and woke when someone tapped him on the shoulder. it was one of the boys he diddn't talk to much, he looked at him with a sort of 'meh' face and passed him a note and pointed to the back row of desks, not specifically showing him who sent it. he opened it up and saw it was one of those simple, childish 'i love you' notes. he scanned the back row, curiosity niggling at im like a loose tooth to see who sent it despite the fact he still had a girlfreind. he saw some of the girls down there, all sat togather directly at the back, trying to see who sent it. he then saw emily, the most beutiful and popular irl in the class looking up. he looked at her with his best face but the she gave him a 'what the hell are you looking at me for?' face. he moved on till he saw this girl, mandy. Alex cringed, this ggirl was, well, not ugly just unatractive. okey she w ugly, very ugly, she was actually FUGLY. i dont even know what that even means but by god she was ugly. she smiled at him and Alex snapped back to looking at the front as if he was ordered to do it by a drill sergent.
later on his way home, he was talking with his freinds. yeah finally dialouge.
'Hey dudes, i just found out. god it's embarresing to say. i've just found out mandy fancies me!'
Alex's freinds just laughed and made fun of him.
'Alex. thats aweful!' one laughed with mock sympathy.
'aww no!' one genuinly moaned, his best freind john. he was still amused but he wasn't making fun of him.
'dude, she's coming out of school. i'd run home if i were you!'
'point taken.' Alex said just before shooting of towards his house.
Alex closed the front door bhin him and dropped his school bag at he side of the wall and took of his shoes. his mother had noticed come in and called for his attention. Alex looked up, out of breath. Mandy actually chaced him almost the entie way home, he was dreading the next school day.
'wow, your home early! thanks to this me and your father can go to the comedy evening thats one, if you take your sister to the swimming gala for me that is.' she said.
'uh, yeah sure.' he said lazily.
' Thanks' she said 'she has to back home at seven and in bed by nine.'
amazingly she had already got her shoes on and whatever makeup or clothes she would have worn out.
Alex had picked his sister back up and made sure she went to bed. his parents won't be home till the next morning, the comedy night went on longer then expected and during that time a horrrible accident had happened on the road home so they were staying in a hotel till the next day. this ment he managed to get in some extra movie time in for that night. he was halfway through a pirate copy of paridise lost when he suddenly saw somthing large fall outside his window. it landed outside on his front dive with a thud and an unforseen 'Bugger!'.
he ran to this mans aid and when he got out the door he saw he man, weaing a old fasioned suit sitting on the floor with his leg trapped in a bush in some awkward fashion. he swore he heard a strange sound overhead, like a horse but he dismissed it.
'hey, dont just stand there, help me here.' he said, harshly.
Alex snapped out of his confusion and went to aid the trappd gentleman. after he got his leg out of the bush he undertook some disturbing ajustments. after snapping a few bones back into place and restraightening his spine he got up. he face was pale and gaunt, he was extemely thin and had eyes that looked as old as time itself, despite having the features of a young, albeit unhealthy aldut.
'Thanks for that, i'll make sure you get repaid somehow.'
he looked up to the sky and whistled. nothing happened.
'Aw darn, he's gone to far oh well.' he said to himself.
'Excuse me but were you on my roof?' Alex asked authoritivly, despite being confronted by a rather tall and intimidationg figure.
'Heavens no, why would i be there?' he replied, pulling out a cell-phone.
'Excuse me!' Alex Frustratedly tried to get the pale mans attention.
'um, excuse you? i'm on the phone.' He answerd back
Alex could only look on with an open mouthed 'what the hell is going on' expression.
'Hello? yeah, i need a cab. no. i mean. listen he's gone to far. well sort it out could you?. ok, thanks bye.' he turned back to Alex 'Honestly the nerve of some people.' he then walked to the pathway next to the road.
'HELLO? Just where do you think youre going?'
'on buissness.' he called from the sidewalk
'are you sure you should be going? you look like death.' Alex continued.
'For all you know...' The man said, quieter this time.
'where exactly are you going?'
the man simply replied 'A124.'
'Why there? people have died in an accidnt there'
'As i said, buissness. And i behnde sceduele so if you could please shut your- ah heres my cab'
what came up teh road was not your useual cab, it lookd more like a herse, with a winged skeleton hood ornament.
'Well i must go now, see you tommorrow about your reward.'
he got into the 'cab' and and it drove of almost immediatly.
Alex stood there for a while, amazed. no more horror movies.
