Yeah. Walrein has base 110 HP - in a defensive build, a single point of HP is worth more than a single point of either Defense, so its base 90 defenses are more than compensated once you EV train its HP up. Also, it gets Curse and Avalanche - Curse ensuring that Avalanche always goes last, making it 120 power. Trick Room teams kind of really mess up the Cursalanche build though.
I made an all-D/P team because it's Pokemon D/P. I did the same thing for other versions - It's the easiest way to gauge the usefulness of that generation of Pokemon.
For example, making an all Ru/Sa/E team was how I discovered that Wynaut pwnz all over Deoxys' Attack Form. It was funny as all Hell.
Deoxys used Shadow Ball! It's Super Effective! Wynaut used Encore! Deoxys used Shadow Ball! It's Super Effective! Wynaut used Mirror Coat! Deoxys fainted! Opponent on NetBattle: o_0
Ask not for whom the Wy nauts. It nauts for THEE. (Wobby was so annoying to fight, there was an unofficial ban on him. So I used Wynaut, and proved Wynaut was just as bad.)
This also ties back into my point about HP being worth more than Defense stats - With Wynaut, I just went max HP, and split the rest between the defenses. It took two super effective attacks off an Uber, and still had enough HP to use Safeguard before the next Pokemon took it out.

One question, Drago.
Why Wynaut?

I played NetBattle before D/P came out. On NetBattle there were usually three unofficial bans.
SkarmBliss - Combining Blissey with Skarmory on the same team usually meant only people with ubers or other people with SkarmBliss would challenge you. Wobuffet - Wobuffet was so !@#$ing scary that most people just would not play you if you used Wobby. He was that scary. Not even the uber tier players would mess with him.
So I got around this by using Wynaut. And proved that Wynaut was just as dangerous in the process, when it took out the uberest of uber sweepers.

Netbattle? Your words mean nothing to me. What are you talking about?
Also, Walrein gets put on the back burner, as my brother requested that I finish the Rhyperior I started so he could have it. I don't really care, this is a favor I can call in later.
Edit: Also, The "For whom the bell tolls" reference made me laugh out loud.

NetBattle is an extremely cool little program that lets you build teams in first, second, and third generation game types, then play them against other players online. It allows all the customization of the real games, and is incredibly thorough and well designed. tvsian.info/netbattle/download.htmThe downside is that the game does not support D/P, and likely never will, as one developer disappeared and the other lost interest after the current version. They say the source code will be available 'soon' for others to update the game, but they've said that for a long time now with no code posted.

Huh, definatly gonna look into that. Though I'd likely miss a critical weakness and leave my whole team vunurable to the ground type or something (I have done that before).

No team is perfect. Unless it has SkarmBliss.
Jeeze I hate that combination.

Can't really respond, never fought that combo.
Anywho, So I've got an Electric/Steel type a Fire/Fighting type and a dragon/flying type already. I've got a water/ice type soon to be in the works and a Rock/ground type I can borrow if I need it. Any gaping holes in this set?

Huang Di: If you play NetBattle, you will be fighting SkarmBliss. It is one of the most potent pairings in the game - Skarmory providing physical defenses, and Chansey providing Special. Most players send in Skarm against physical Pokemon, then spam Spikes, Toxic and Roar. If anything too dangerous to Skarm shows up, they send in Blissey to Seismic Toss things. Individually they're a pain, but together they're a nightmare. The only way to shut SkarmBliss down is to prevent switching - Dugtrio and Magneton became incredibly popular because they could stop SkarmBliss from switching and then usually one or two hit KO.

Aiyah! Why... Spikes and Stealth Rock? Why... ROAR?
Improved Moveset.
Air Slash. At. 75, Acc. 95, Pp. 20 Rock Tomb. At. 50, Acc. 80, Pp. 10 Flash Cannon. At. 80, Acc. 100, Pp. 10 Dark Pulse. At. 80, Acc, 100, Pp, 15 (Lol, reminds me of Ghost Pulse 3)
Empoleon. Add Blizzard, Sheer Cold.
Alakazam. Take away Calm Mind, add Charge Beam. If you REALLY need Recover, keep it. If not, add some high-attack thing. I personally have Dream Eater/Hypnosis combo on my Lv. 100 Gardevoir.
My party: Lv. 100 Charizard [Blaze] (Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Blast Burn, Flamethrower.) Lv. 100 Gardevoir (Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Psychic, Shadow Ball.) Lv. 79 Mewtwo [Thanatos] (Psychic, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball.) Lv. 81 Arceus (Thunder, Hyper Beam, Psychic, Shadow Ball) - AIYAH! I got this from a trade. Anyone got an Arceus with Punishment? Lv. 77 Giratina [Shadow] (Shadow Force, Fly, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt) Lv. 77 Darkrai (Event Darkrai. Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Nightmare, Thunder.)
Help needed.

hmmm i don't think it's really fair to use legends on ur team...and i want my pokemon to actually have moves that can cover everytype weakness. i think i'll take ur advice on my alakazam but i'll keep my skarmory like that, maybe teach air slash, and for my empoleon, i actually want it to have different types of moves, not 3 of the same type maybe i'll replace it will my palkia Palkia- Modest- Lusterous Orb- 255 Spec Atk-255 Speed- Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Ice Beam and Surf
