Manga > anime.
The anime runs on so low budget, I cry blood.
And it being the same as Naruto, with a bazillion episodes, with lots of filler, I only watched one episode of it.
It's a good shounen series though. Better than the crapfest that Bleach and Naruto have become.

4-Kids killed it. Like Leatherface killed teenagers. They cut One Piece's gut open with a chainsaw, strung it up, skinned it, ate the good parts and slapped the bad parts on something that only LOOkS like One Piece.

I don't watch anything dubbed, but I heard that OP might get a bit better.

Oh wait. Yeah, but they're only starting at episode 144. 4-Kids still has the previous episodes under their own license. Oh wait, I meant the previous 104. They cut out all the rest and didn't bother with them.

i read manga i havent started with anime yet but i will and i just luveee one piece i read swe verison im on book 39 now (newest in swe)

Don't.
You will appreciate it more if you just read the manga. The anime was edited even in Japan, with less blood and such things.
But at least they didn't edit Marine guns into waterguns like they did in America.
