darn, Itachi is a good guy who sacrificed for Konoha and his little brother. Itachi gave Sasuke all of his Mangekyo's power... He had to use Amaterasu right before Tobi/Madara completely takes off his mask...

Anyway.
Manga, ahead of anime, yes.
How could the ANIME be ahead of what it is based on?
Magical timetravel? Mangaka revealing his secrets and plot(which doesn't exist, LAWL KISHI) to the anime team? Or like in the case of a few series which had the anime end before the manga, make the anime ending differ.
Usually to the worse.

I, generally, like anime and manga going different ways. This way, fillers aren't that necessary and it makes both more interesting.
Not half-done, though.

Sure, going different routes might be good.
But sadly, all times I've seen it happen, the results are bad.
The anime team can't apparently make up as good of a plot like the manga's maker.
,,except in the case of Elfen Lied, but just because the creator of that is a troll.

Spoilers.
New flashback out of nowhere shows stuff from that Naruto VS Itachi fight from WAY back, anyone still remember that?
Anyway.
Turns out one of Itachi's crows flew down Naruto's throat(srsly) and Itachi gave him "some power".
In before it's Sharingan or something equally stupid that will set Naruto up against Sasuke, who now with his Mangekyou, already is at the level where he can control the Kyuubi.
Stupid plot is stupid.
