Alright, I've been seeing alot of guides for this and i may look like a copycat, but, with my experience in AQ, and all the updates and items going rare (unavailable) I just cant help but to write my own guide for this game. Plus, when theres a new update, when I'm around, I'll make my updates to this guide. You can remove it if you dont want it but, please, read it first. (Note: Some items will be Guardian Only and free players will have to upgrade if they want to get them and actually finish the game.)
Ok, here we go:
Levels 1-10

That pet 9/10 times is the Big Clone (Guardian Only). It costs alot but its worth it. I'm not going to tell you which pet to get if to get a pet at all, so I'll just let you decide whether or not you want a pet and if so, which pet.
Skipping pets, lets check out some good shields, shall we?

Ok, by now you may have noticed, the spells dont have a damage range. So, you're probably thinking: "How can spells help me if they dont have any damage?" Well, Thats where you're Int comes in. See, low Int = low spell damage, high Int = high spell damage. That's the rough explanation of it really, but now you're probably wondering: "Where do the rest come in?" Heres the full explanation: Str-Determines how powerful your melee attacks are. Dex-Determines basically how often you hit your enemy to put it roughly it also determines power of your ranged weapons. End-Determines how high your health is.
Luk-Determines how much a treasure chest apprears or how you hit a little harder than normal. Cha-Determines how powerful your pet attacks. Having that explained, lets go out and fight! At the Town page, there are 3 options besides clicking on the 1-2 characters in front or any of the buildings. Those options are: Battle Monsters, Go to The Event, and Travel Map. From now on, I'll refer to these as: BM, GTE, and TM. Now, the BM option is going to be your best friend at low level. For now, just keep going there. Dont worry if you die, Death lets you go without a fight. after you level up a bit, and have amassed a mini fortune, click on Artix/Twilly (The 2 people in front at the Town screen) and select "Visit the Stat Trainers". Here you can select from five different options. "Combat Practice" "Sir Lanceler" "Nebron the Mage" "Grimweld the Warrior" and "Exit". Click on "Sir Lanceler" and choose which stat you want to train. (Note: Cha and Luk are virtually worthless throughout the game. Some class trainers require them but they are basically a waste of stat points to be honest.) After choosing which stat to train, you will have to fight him and win to get the stat raised (He stops it if he hits under 160hp). If you've read some of the other guides, spells kill monsters faster than the strongest warrior. So I recommend spending quite a few points in Int throughout the game. (Theres a secret "Untrainer" in the game but he is rather hard to find. Plus you have to be a Guardian to teleport to him through the tower after youve found him.) After spending some gold, you can either go train some more or GTE or TM. Some events however are extremely tough to do at low level or even impossible. Unless you upgrade to at least Guardian, most of the places on the TM will be locked. For now, Just level up and get some gold. You have a hard game ahead of you.
End of part 1.
