Hydra guide by Warlic

Okay for starters, if you have an obviously better weapon/armor/whatever don't come back and say " But warlic! what about people with _____" If it's obvious what you have is better use it! For instance if you have the golden/nightmare armor and shield, don't go get the glave shield. OK I'm done whining now. Onto the guide.

Lvl: 50+ O.k. most of the stuff in this is level 50+. If your not above fifty then I guarantee 100% that you won't win unless you get PWD or your a staff member. It's simply impossible with the limited equipment.

Weapon: If you have patriot blade, PB 2005 or power katana USE THEM! If not use the ionic slasher. or if you have fireblood blade that's good as well.
Armor: Werepyre. Definitely. Or failing in that get horse rider (from shop) it has the best earth defense. Or if you have it GID
Shield: Use glave/gyrate. They're good.
Spells: Heal wounds, Fireball z/cosmic blaze, blue lightning/current event.
Pet: Fire vamp or energy vamp. Or FGM if you have it (for healing.)
Guest: skull or draykwing or huntragon. Whichever. (for people who can't get the Guardian angel)
Potions: to be honest they won't help much. Heal wounds is what you need. However just to have something to fall back on 10 health, 5 mana.
Strategy: If your a lvl 10 DS it REALLY HELPS to freeze the hydra, then use CFTFD. It also helps to use IK or UIK, freeze him, then hit him with fireball z (I THINK that's lvl 60. If your not high enough for that just hit him with cosmic blaze. It's a fairly decent fire spell.)

Anyway for the rest of the strategy: 1 head: offense. Definitely focus on SMACK DOWN on this part. 2 heads: Heal when you get to around 150 health. still attack but with intent to get THE most damage out of the attack and be ready to heal on a whim.

its actually possible to beat hydra at a lower level than 50. I did it on my mage in the low-mid 40s. but i'll admit it's not easy. took me 13 or 14hp bottles. its quite possible with good earth protection (horse rider armor or the new Earth power armor), decent int (70+), and FBZ

well, paladin lvl 10 with an Energy Maelstaff can be good, but gyrate shield definitely saved my life there.

(note: it was lvl 65 maelstaff and I got the special almost every turn, which might have helped a bit.)

Well I used lich form. Fire lords axe. Shield of rend. My clone. My doomwolf. And I kept using undead assault.
