I wouldn't be posting this here but the AQ forum won't let me create an account. I started playing AQ last night and am needlessly addicted, considering guardianship but there are two things that hold me back, and I think they may be related issues.
It seems that everytime I purchase a new peice of gear, all of what I'm wearing resets to default. This wouldn't be a problem normally except that I recently quested and got the WWF, and was loving it. I goto buy the glaive shield and BAM WWF is gone. This kind of thing is a big enough issue for me to not really want to pay $20+ for the game, you know?
The second issue is really of little consequence but it seems that my character page does the same thing. That being that it doesn't actually show what I'm wearing, it appears to show mostly default gear. This is just a minor annoyance that wouldn't be a problem at all if I couldn't see that other people have thier gear showing properly.
At this point those are the only two real complaints, besides the lack of multiplayer interaction but that's not something I can expect any help with :-D.
Thanks...

WWF isn't a true temporary form. It's gonna be hard to keep it, and not worth the time to quest for it every single time you get in. And besides, you'll find different (and real) armors to use that are probably much better when you get a Guardianship. Maybe even while you're still an adventurer.
Character page doesn't go along with when you're playing in real time.

I don't expect the character page to update instantly, but even after 24 hours now it hasn't updated to what my character was wearing when I logged off. Furthermore everytime I log in, with the exception of my weapon, I have to equip everything all over again. I know this is just a minor inconvenience but it just seems like something that I really shouldn't have to worry about.
I also know that WWF isn't any kind of end all armor, it is good at my level though and helps alot when doing random battles. It's not entirely about losing temps, it's about the hassle of needing to reequip all of my gear everytime I buy something new. On top of that I lose anything that isn't an "item" in my bag.
As I said, it's just an inconvenience, but it just seems like that kind of thing shouldn't exist. My major question is if there is any way to stop this from happening? Or is this something that happens to everyone?

These effects happen to everyone. Character webpages always show default armour and a combination of weapon and shield. I'm not quite sure how this is chosen. Re-equiping things takes a couple of seconds, and is hardly an inconveniance. If, after logging off, the servers had to save what equipment you were using, it would take quite a lot of space considering how many characters exist. Temporary items are just that, temporary. They DO vanish without the slightest whim. Just live with it, the rest of us have done and will do.

After reading your comment on how they all show the default equipment I went back to look (with the intent of proving you wrong) however I came to discover quite the opposite. I looked at the top players list again and suddenly realized the armor they were wearing was the default (I didn't recognize it because it was gaurdian armor).
Well thank you for the quick answers, and for clearing that up for me. I may still end up getting guardian depending on how much I play in the next few days. Again, thanks.

Guardianship definatly IS worth it. I bought it 5 days after I started playing and have still been playing for years since. Admittedly, I bought it when it was cheaper, but still.
