I started this because i'm a teenager begging for teenager conversation. personally i'm a new romantic but i'm going through a goth phase at the moment.
anyways i just want to discuss eachothers subculture.
edit: whoops, i forgot to PUT IN new romantic, manual counter permitted

How I'm supposed to know which subculture I belong to?
Ah, nevermind that. I don't care anyway.

Generally you look at the music you like, the cloths you wear and the people you hang with. it's never to do with attitude but more then often their are trade mark attitudes. punks are angry with plitical issues and want to do somthing with revolution and rebelious acts emo's feel the same but are more introspective, seeing how they affect things
that or it litterally is just the cloths.

Well, looking at my playlist in WMP, it says mostly "other" and as a next in that list is J-Pop, followed by Rock then closely Pop. Of course, even all 3 together, I'm not sure can those even get 35% in my list.....need to look at it, but I'm not brothering.
Also, screw clothing styles, casual works fine as long as I don't get noticed for what I wear.

language doesn't define genra. if it's melodic garage sound with lyrics on anti-establishment it's generally punk. greenday had american idot and the princes of punk, the sex pistols, almost all of their songs were anti establishment/monarchy/media. ook them up, see for yourself.

But it's still considered that J-Rock and J-Pop are genres of their own.
Ouran is weird... the Tamaki dude is so desperate xD

If I had to determine by what is in my playlist...
#NIPPONSEI @ IRC.RIZON.NET (wtf is that?) : 23 Alternative : 4 Anime : 8 For some reason it just made a new genre for F-zero x music called "Blue" : 9 Blues (it puts naruto songs with blues :s wtf?) : 26 Classic rock : 1 (Van Halen - Beat it solo) Classical : 1 (Drowning Pool 0.0) Game : 37 Hard rock : 12 Heavy metal : 5 Metal : too much to count (4 pages just to give a number) Other : 2 pages (Guns 'n' Roses and all kind of stuff that isn't supposed to be in this genre) Rock : 1 page Soundtrack : 20 Unknown : 1 page
I conclude from this counting that I need better a better system for categorizing >_>
