It looks cool... I am thinking that the mystery monster is Godzilla or one of his many relatives trying to GAWGILLAFY New York.... I am most likely wrong, like usual.

I HAVE DESINE PICTAR! Seriously, it was released on some Japanese movie rumor site, and appears to be a concept drawing of what is supposedly the Cloverfield monster. Now, take this with a grain of salt. It is entirely possible, and likely, this is a concept drawing for a monster design that was not used in the final film. However it should, even if it was not used, give us an inside look into how the monster designers are thinking. img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/DragoGoldenwing/cloverfield-monster-picture.jpgPersonally I think it's sort of an 'alternate Godzilla'. Godzilla is an iquana that was irradiated and mutated after exposure to atomic bomb tests. Well, I'm thinking this is Godzilla if they'd used a humpback whale instead of an iquana.

i'm sure there are smaller monsters, what i want to know is what made the explosion, i think it might be an alien of sorts, and it created the explosion then it entered the atmosphere, but we have no way of knowing, which is why it's so exiting!!!

Ieuan: If you look at the picture it shows the main monster is covered in mutated whale lice that are at least eight feet tall. An unending horde of smaller monsters.

Which are nothing more but common parasites, although a lot larger form.
This picture has been around as long as the first movie trailer went public, and although it has been debated whether or not it was legit, I heard that the newest trailer confirms that the monster of the movie is the large whale thing. Something about seeing it for a second or so when it passes through buildings. Right before some woman explodes or something.
