it says on the AQ forums we CANNOT kill the devourer. you can try, but you will never have existed. that's what uncreation means. no memories left of you in anyone's mind, none of your posessions, etc.

the thing with AQ is WE NEVER LOSE. the staff have stated that our goal here is not victory. that's impossible.

our goal... is to survive at all.

My money's on Drago's theory also. AQ may be one of the coolest games in history, but it's loaded with whiny noobs. If they don't win the war, the official forums would become (even more) spamish and unreadable. AQ has too many expectations to live up to.

Definatley. I think that the AE Forums staff would go crazy trying to delete spam after a lost war, if one should ever occur. I guess that they are trying to preserve the sanity of the forums. I would hate it to see " >:(omg y did we l00se teh wor?? " repeated in spammy posts in the GGD.

And NoSoul4Evr, before buying the Grammar Plate, read the sentence under my avatar to boost your literacy by 10%, since you can surely understand it. Then buy the Grammar Plate for the literacy bonus it offers.

check the AQ forums... it's been stated by staff, not just Truth Seekers. it's fact. we can't win. you attack, you never even existed. that basically means we can't attack. because it's a single-player game, we have single-handedly beaten every boss ever.

so if we never existed, no more world.

I think Bradakhan is the Devourer's agent. he took over Battleon, he's the only one we've ever lost to, Epheel's Gift has been glowing for a while now...

Ok, I'll rephrase. We never lose a war, unless the plot calls for us to do so. And then the plot always comes back with a way for us to redeem ourselves.

Edit: Also, I'd like to bring two things to your attention:

1) The Huntress is desperately searching for a cache of weapons. She's obviously with the Devourer. The only reason she could be searching for a weapons cache is, gasp, they can somehow help stop the Devourer!

2) Epheel will be back when the Devourer is, and she might even bring NightBane with her. ...And I'm predicting we'll be forced to ally with even the villains.

the only way I can see that she is connected to the devourer (other than hunting him) is that her gauntlet is the Gauntlet of The'Galin. The'Galin is the devourer.
