Time for me to pile on, I guess.
I don't really do much back-and-forth on the forums - usually it's just suiko and DF yelling at me over AIM - but I'm happy to put myself out here and see what happens. Cause I mean, really, i've never missed an opportunity for wasting time.
So, for starters, I'm 23, live in new york city, just graduated college and now work as a consultant. Things like the Misc Item page were born during slow days at work. Yes, I'm jealous of Anar being able to make actual suits of mail professionally. Ask away.

Not just mail, mind you, plate as well What college did you attend and what was your major? Columbia University, in NYC. Applied Math, minor in CS.Whom do you consult and what about? In school, I did freelance computer consulting for places like social work PhD students, small websites, test prep services, etc. I'd add some web services, customize forums, restructure other IT stuff.
Now I work for a management & strategy consulting firm in lower manhattan. Large corporations hire us to make them more efficient. We get asked questions like "which of our contracts could be a lot cheaper?", "should we put the factory in country X or country Y", or "how much are we actually worth to these clients of ours? how much can we get away with charging?". It's intense but at least keeps me busy most of the time. How did you get involved with UAQ? I started playing AQ before spring semester of senior year (so, December 2005-ish). I got frustrated at the lack of widespread information sites about AQ (as there always were with, say, Diablo), and UAQ seemed not just to be the best, but pretty much the only one worth discussing. A few things frustrated me about UAQ, like how I couldn't easily see what the average expected damage of a weapon was (so I could compare). So since I had some PHP/MySQL skills, I wrote DF and asked him if he needed help. Apparently the answer was yes Do you actually play AQ and, if so, what is your opinion of it's current state? I play it a little bit. It's expanding rapidly, but a lot of what they're adding seems to be "more of the same". I wish there were more fundamental, structural changes in how it operated - which need not be multiplayer! - than just additions of plain content. There's already enough in there to capture new users. They should focus on keeping around existing users. If I keep getting bored, I'm gonna stop working on these scripts and start playing more. There's a lot I have to catch up on!

Q) What lv are you in AQ? A) I have a lvl 91 warrior and a lvl 38 mage. Not much to accomplish after lvl 90, really - that's when you get the best parts of the Custom Weapon, and the final attack of the NMP. You can check me out by searching for posts under this name on the AQ forums, and going to my Character.
Q) Do you think you'll stay at UAQ for awhile and not leave like many others have? A) I have a job that can range anywhere from "doing nothing, sitting around" to "working all the time in a remote country, 7 days a week". So if i "leave", it won't be because I'm abandoning UAQ, it will be because my life has gotten busy, and sooner or later it will get un-busy. For example, between March and August I was fairly busy - finishing school, getting an apartment, first big project at work, etc - but the past few weeks i've had some downtime and we've made tons of progress with coding the site. I'm hoping to finally get my big plans for the Armors page and weapon comparisons completed, which I think would be huge for the AQ community.
So to answer your question, I might not do anything more once all the big projects for UAQ are completed, but until then I'll be "around", and active from time to time.

Please don't take this offensivly but,
Why are you an admin?
every change to the site since January has been coded by me personally. Suiko maintains the data and has made a few minor cosmetic changes but i've been adding all the new pages and updating all the old ones. If there's a UAQ team, it's DF, Suiko, and me.
Do you know DF in real life?
Nope. I just emailed him and offered my help with the PHP/MySQL, and he took me up on it. I was pretty into AQ back in the winter and spring, now i'm more into DF.

Q) Then what lv are you in DF? A) 22 (warrior, no DA). I think i'm done playing until they add more stuff though - doing Fire Cave, Earth Cave and Spirits at the Inn runs get boring. And I hate that you can't fight the new serpent / bridge thing more than once.

Well, hello. The new craze is sweeping the nation!Hubba bubba max! What do you think of this matter?
I try not to think of it.
If you could be any stormtrooper/clone trooper, which one would you be(dark trooper, jet trooper, etc)?
I've always liked the guys who fly the tie fighters.
If no storm/clone trooper for you, jedi or sith?
Really, either would be badass, but having a communal brotherhood with nature is kinda cool, so i'd have to opt for Jedi.
What do you think of my brother?Description:Big,obnoxious, fat, annoying.
What do you think of me?Description:Im not gonna describe myself!Look at some of my posts and my forum.
Do you think I should be a dragonslayer or dracomancer.
Remember, pancakes are good for your bath robes. This is me,signing out.*gets beamed up by a fish-shaped ship*See ya Denzera!
Yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about here =PLOL,Denzera=silly!

How often do u go on the computer?
Well, my job involves a computer, so i'm probably staring at a screen 10-12 hours a day. When I get home (and i'm not flying somewhere), i'm probably online half the time.
Do u have a pet?
Not here... at my parents' house though, we have a golden retriever, Lillie... she's awesome.
Which do u likebetter the artix entertainment forum or the UAQ forum?
Honestly, the AE forum is a lot better... what is it, PHPBB? I forget [edit: it's actually an ASP-based one called ASPPlayground]. Either way, I know a lot about internet forums, and the hosted ones (whether it's Proboards, EZboard, or any of the others) are usually worse. YaBB, PHPBB, vBulletin, and UBBThreads are my favorites. vBulletin is the most popular paid package on the internet, but I think UBBThreads is the most superior. I think a bunch of packages are better than the one Artix Ent. has, but theirs beats the heck out of this one.
Do u hate anybody like alot u know like a underwordly rage hate?
I can think of a few people from high school who I'd probably blast off into space without a suit if i could. And John Ashcroft, i'd say.

Well, since you're the guy that makes UAQ what it is, then I guess I'll run through some questions:
1) What languages can you code in?
PHP is my primary language, but I know Java, C++, Perl, Visual Basic / ASP, and others. I know a bunch of database systems too. MySQL is the easiest, that's what this site runs on.
2) To you feel like you don't recieve enough praise or attention for all your work here at UAQ?
Nah, I don't really feel that way. I volunteered to help out mostly because I wanted some place where I could get information on weapon damage and stuff, and the site didnt' have it available - so I offered to help build it myself. I wasn't expecting much attention, which is good because I don't have time for it anyway.
3) How much strain does your actual job put upon you (mentally)?
Uh, well, you can't really do a job like this unless you can put up with huge amounts of stress and not even notice it. Really, it all just doesn't have any effect on me.
4) Could you rewrite the UAQ forums? Please? (That's a no before I even get an answer...)
I mean, sure, these forums suck. And I have other forums that I prefer. But we've got a lot of history on this place, a lot of information we could probably keep around, and everyone's got their accounts and stuff. I dunno. If Suiko started a poll to see if we should move to our own forums, and everyone wanted to, I could probably set it up without much trouble.
The real question is, is it worth it? How much would we get out of it? I don't have an easy answer there - but it would be nice to get rid of the google ads.

how often do you code?
Only when i've got the motivation or inspiration to work on something. Not that often, except for work-related stuff. Some clients need me to learn some technology in order to help them, so I learn something and then use it (or fix their broken stuff).
what else can you write in?
I answered this in the last post, but... also wanted to add standard web technologies, like HTML/CSS, Javascript, and AJAX. In fact, we ought to get a little AJAX going on with our pages, it would make them slicker.
do you use a unix operating system? if so what?
Uh, only when working with a server. I run WinXP, and develop on it, and just upload my pages with FTP (onto the unix server) once i'm done. Really, I'm not such a big fan of using *nix systems for real, just as servers.
thank you for you time.
