hm the equations are very convincing. But 99.99...is considered a irrational number and therefore cannot be reduced to a whole number.

DUDE OMG en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irrational_number you can convert repeating decimals into fractions as the link in a prieveous post explained do I need to show you a certified math site that will back me up on this?? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recurring_decimal more proof: Why all repeating or terminating decimals must be rational numbers: Given a repeating decimal, it is possible to find the fraction which produced it. For example: x = 0.333333... 10x = 3.33333... (multiplying each side of the above line by 10) 9x = 3 (subtracting the 1st line from the 2nd) x = 3/9 = 1/3 (simplifying) Not flaming or yelling at all I'm just saying in the gifted match class we had to write an essay on why .9999999 = 1

Drizzt. You're taking this too far. 99.9 repeating is always treated as 100, but it technically isn't. It's a joke. Laugh. Quit trying to prove to somebody that their joke was fallacious, it's not doing anyone any good.

Due to the dimension of numbers, 99.99*(r) is never going to hit 1, because it's like running numbers at PARALLEL, they will always be a constantly stetching number but they will never join, since it's best to think that numbers are solid like walls of crystal, and substitution can't actually modify them. Where your calculations fell through, Micah, is where you used a calculationtreated a number as a different one [substitution], then supassed the substitution to be true, without removing said substitution in the last step of the calculation. I'm 11, that was sorta hard to type for me >.>

Drago I was just stating that 99.99 was = 100 I didn't want to start anything but they said it was wrong so I TRIED to show them how it was equal.. Well I hope AQ does at least look into some of these peoples idea it would make AQ way more fun. I think having a buddy system would be cool.

If you prove to me you can do the impossible and somehow make 99.999999999 into 100 I will concede to you and lick your boots.

All I know is what we were taught in the single High-School level math class that I took; 99.9 repeating is TREATED as 100 for the purpose of solving simple problems, but we were told to always remember that technically, 99.9 repeating is always going to be 99.9 repeating. It can never technically equal 100 no matter HOW many places out you go. It will always APPROACH 100, but that's all it will ever do, is APPROACH 100. It can never trully EQUAL 100 because the .9 repeats to infinity, coming infinitely closer to becoming 100 but never arriving and actually becoming 100.
Assuming that 99.9 equals 100 was just a way to deal with an infinite number in equations, much like treating pi as 3.14 despite the fact that pi is infinite and everlasting.
I always wanted to say that. PI IS INFINITE AND EVERLASTING. YOU WILL BOW TO PIE. THERE IS NO RESISTING ITS FLAKY CRUSTY GOODNESS.

Lol..i think so too. The AQX ppl should be sued for copying. No one will play their game besides noobs who are low level and don't respect AQ. They'll never get far....

I know. But if they merged with AQ, they make it a whole lot better. People have only dreamt of a PvP system in AQ, but the staff won't deliver. These guys could help them.

The staff already said that PvP is too much to put into the system. I know someone did it in AQX but they do not have to deal with thousands of player accounts.
