HI! I am a Rogue : level 7, who is also training to be a ninja! I was wondering about the "Luck" stat. I read on a couple of sites that Luck doesn't do much for Rogues at all, and that it really is useless to train in. These sites also suggest to concentrate on Dex and Strength with only some minor stuff in charisma. Is this true? I do not know I am just newbie -_- Hey here is my character if it makes any difference: aq.battleon.com/build30/charview.asp?temp=43491213

DEX all the way. Then STR, of if you want to use pets, CHA.
Luck isn't bad, it is just that every other stat out beats it.So it is useless.
By level 60, this should be pretty good build, albeit it is hard to get.
200 DEX 100 END For beastmasters, at level 90: 200 DEX 90 END 160 CHA
If you're using nerfkitten, it is different story, though.Don't suggest, because it will mostly give you more BTH and a bit more blocking, whereby it would be better to push for damage at that level.
At later level, it becomes useful, though
LV130 60 STR 200 DEX 200 END 190 CHA
For example.
You could also go annihilator route. It is the most useful mid-levels, whereby mosnsters tend to take out a decent bite and are slow to defeat. For that, Berserker(until it get's nerfed).
Berserker+Salvation bow can do some serious damage in conjuction with it's class skills. It get's even better at level 70, when you should get IT, as it BTH cost can be overlooked since you're using ranged weaponary, and grants great power.
For level 40, it is almost with a decent speed to get 200 in a stat. I'd say 100 hard but possible. So something like. 100 DEX 100 END.
If you find yourself lacking in money, then you can split some in STR, albeit it will pay you back much harder later.

Ninja and Rogue are both practically useless classes. What matters is only your weapon type and how fast you want to kill and your wish to use pets.

I do not agree with you xelemental. Because, Rogue has a very cool level 10 ability - POTION SHOT!
And Ninjas have cool skillz too ^_^

Rogue and Ninja are both pretty weak compared to the overpowered necromancer, my personal fav paladin, wizard, mage, berserker, dragonslayer's charged attack, the beastmaster guests. The only things that might be more useless are pirate and vampireslayer but pirate might be decent I just didn't like it.

to me, rouge is like the worst out of the 3 base classes ( 4 if you count scholar) also to me, luck is really pointless, it does give bonuses but they are really small bonuses... the bonus is determined by your luck/20

I do not agree with you xelemental. Because, Rogue has a very cool level 10 ability - POTION SHOT! And Ninjas have cool skillz too ^_^ Potion shot was nerfed. Before it was nice. Now doesn't do much for me.Ranged conventer is only useful when fighting sneaks. Ninjas have freeze, which is nice, but that is all.And it requires both MP from opponent and heals them. Ranger/Rogue is rather mid to high-level class. All things like there. Berserker, IT, 100% bows. You get access to good defensive armors like Golden Plate, which allows black cat to be more useful.Freeze from ninjas actually becomes a benefit, you encounter some monsters aganist who you actually benefit from Ninja's death strike.

With range converter I can hit everything almost all the time ^_^ Potion Shot has been critically healing me a lot lately, maybe I am just lucky, but I still like it. Ninja freeze doesn't seem to heal all mobs, but maybe I am not noticing it much. Still it's good for a first round attack. I thought Ranger Class didn't exist yet?! Ninja Spin and Shuriken are very good against mobs which are weak vs your weapon or weak against wind. I know they aren't the best classes, but I still like them ^_^ thank you though for your help ^_^

Ranger is more of build than a class at the moment.

or you can be like me and once you've reached level 10 in a class just throw it back in storage and go back to you're favorite multi hit armor. But thats just me.

Reptile, have you done Necromancer yet? I am guessing not. Try that if you want power...
