Go to travel map, then go to crossroads, then go click "Somewhere". Kill all the monsters and you should get a few chests along the way. They will usually have a piece of the blade.

The stonewrit is obtainable the same way as the pieces.

err.. i never found that house xD i never get out of granemor at all actually ^^ noobish! i got it at crossroads. the only strange thing is that you now can trade it in for a staff or spear. which actually makes it pointless to get the sword. and you should be able to get sword/spear in same way. how did valencia get it? ^^
