I'm waiting until they release something really big for Warriors and that will be my turning point. I have always wanted to be a Warrior, but AQ makes Mages far too powerful, and thus makes them attractive to all players. If the staff release a whole new set of awesome weapons under 300k gold, I'm going to change my stats and go Warrior.

hmm. I can appreciate Drago's point. it IS pretty unfair that the staff keep making magic classes.
and it looks like the next melee class will be Berserker. which even I don't think I want to risk, despite my insane battle style.

They'll find a way to make Berserker a magic class! >__>
StoikC: Don't hold your breath. Reign Plate and Reign Shield were the only good things to happen to melee builds in recent memory. And then they made the gorram weapon for the set Magic and denied Melee builds a full Set yet AGAIN. Which I STILL have not frikkin' forgiven them for. Golden: First set, melee. Nightmare: Second set, magic.
Then we hear the wonderful news - We're getting TWO uber sets this time! And one is confirmed Ranged! So it should follow the cycle would come around again and Warriors would get a new Melee set, right? Right?
Then they make Reign Defender MAGIC. Doubleyou. Tee. EFF.

I thought that Reign Defender's defenses were 12/15/12...? I might be mistaken, but I could swear that its strong-point was Ranged defense.
And I agree about the Reign point. Why did the Staff make the freaking ReignBringer Magic?!? It just doesn't make sense. They should just take all Melee weapons out of the game, it's getting that bad. Everything decent that has been released recently has been Magic, with the exaption of the Jotun Blade (90). What I would like to know is this: Why they are denying Warriors equal ground with Mages?
Here's adding onto a point that Drago made earlier, using WoW as an example.
In WoW, there are both Warriors and Mages. Warriors can deal out a good amount of damage, and can also take a ton of damage at the same time. The Mages have insane *lets get 3 more mages and go re-nuke Hiroshima and Nagasaka!* spells and have the most damage potential of all the classes. Their downside is that they snap like a twig in close combat.
In AQ, mages still deal the most amount of damage. And to top it all off, they can have the same amount of health and tank-ability as Warriors, which seriously unbalances the game. Mages are supposed to be fragile, not stoic and solid. AQ goes and make it so Mages are the obvious superiors since they can both deal out the most damage and take as much as Warriors can.
It's just not right.

Meh. When the weapons were just rumors the Bringer was called the Defender. They changed the shield to Defender though, but I still slip up sometimes.
That's exactly the point I was trying to make.
You know what? I'm going to put together a good logical non-angry post, and go post it on the official AQ forum, just to see how long it takes them to nuke the thread.

Well, I've decided that I'm switching to a Warrior build now. To hell with the Mage build and it's over-powered-ness.
Drago, I could use some pointers. Stuff such as...
1) Is there even a half-decent Melee Light weapon out there under level 90? I've seen the Orc Cleaver, but is that the best that there is?
2) Melee Dark Weapon. Currently I have Dire Black Axe. Suggestions?
3) You know what, can you just tell me some good Melee weapons of every element, or at least tell me the ones you use? Thanks.

1, 2, 4?
Someone needs to learn how to count.

Fire: Custom Weapon Water: Bad-Axe 75 Wind: Fenris Gasher Ice: Cryzta (Grim Vestige if you don't mind an off-element special.) There are no good non-Z Token melee ice weapons. Energy: Undead Axe of Storms Light: Buy the Jotun Blade 90 while you can. It'll be the best available for a while. Dark: Nightslayer, or Grim Vestige, or SoulCarver.
I use Fire Custom, Bad-Axe, Wicked Breaker, Cryo Crystal Shard (Looking for a replacement,) UAoS, Jotun Blade, and Monster Prod.

Fire: I just got FFU today. I'll go for CW, but IIRC, I can't get the full-powered CW without Shadowsteel Blade at level 91. I'm only level 84. Water: Got it. Would the Ultimate Trench Axe be good once I get to level 90? Wind: I just bowled through Ziggy to get this. Lookie --> img301.imageshack.us/img301/6286/ziragatdowntd8.pngIce: I just sold my DFSZ and got Crytza today. Energy: UAoS...are you sure? What about PK? Light: Again...not level 90 yet. I'll stick with RUB for now since it helped me own Ziggy. Darkness: I don't plan on buying Z-Tokens, so I'll get Soul Carver later.

Invest in the CW anyway. Even at 84 the available blades beat FFU. FFU looks good on paper but the special is incredibly weak and happens too often. No, stay with Bad-Axe 75, it's the most damaging water weapon available. PK only outpowers UAotS once you get closer to level 100. Until then the Axe is the better choice.

For my CW, should I use Crystal Blade, or the...[forgotten name, but it's a blade under level 90 and in the same category as Crystal Blade] blade?
I'm actually glad that I'm switching to Warrior. Now I can get weapons like the EIK later when I buy tokens.
