I think I do. when you make a new account you get a number of free log-ins after which you have to wait until there are spaces on the server. You can login anytime you want if you have a guardian char on that account

*nods at Lord Shalindar*
Adding on to what LS said about having a Guardian character on the account...if you do, you can also access the Guardian server with an Adventurer account.
Though I understand how this guy feels. I was an Adventurer until level 70 (which took me about 6 months because I took a 2 month break). It's constantly a pain sitting there with that crappy music playing and clicking refresh until that godly word "Play!" shows up on screen. Then you exhale a sigh of relief and get to play with a limited Adventurer character. It was sooo much fun... >_>

hehe, if we're talking about when we got our Guardianships well I believe I got mine somewhere in my lvl 70s. Till then it was Adventurer obviously and yes it was soooooooo fun trying to log in. Especially in those days...

I got mine around level... 88-89-90, somewhere in there I think. *Waves at the anonymous benefactor*
StoikC: I had it down to an art. The thing to realize is that the server only updates the amount of slots/makes empty slots available for use every couple of minutes. So refreshing every few seconds won't help - It won't get you into an empty slot any faster since the server doesn't even realize there are empty slots until it does its bi-minutely check. That's why it can go from, say, 900 users logged in with free slots open, then jump to 1200 when the numbers update. Three hundred people signed in while the server thought there were slots open, then when the server checks again it realises there are no free slots and shuts everyone out again. It makes for some pretty random numbers of people online compared to available slots,.
Upside: This means theoretically, if there's one free slot open, for two minutes or so that means everyone can get in on that single slot.
Downside: I'm pretty sure the server counts logged-in Guardian accounts as being on the slots. So even though Guardians don't need to take up a slot, being able to log in whenever they want, the game still assigns them a slot if one is available. Meaning: If there are 900 open slots, and 500 Guardians logged in, it counts the Guardians as being in the free slots and limits the amount of Adventurers that can log in accordingly.

Which I think is infinatley unfair. I mean honestly, why are the Guardians playing on the Adventurer server? Are they THAT lazy that they can't take 10 seconds to hop on the Guardian Server instead to free up some space for AQ's Adventurers?
In my opinion, this is possibly a way for AQ to make people that might get guardianship feel disheartened about the game because they can't experience it, mainly because of the server cap. That's my theory, anyways.
And Drago, I also had it like that. I would talk on the forums or IRC for 2 minutes and then I would click refresh in the window with the crappy music. I would never be waiting more than 30 minutes to get logged in.

the Guardian server has an annoying habit of glitching up events and war bosses.

I got a tip : right-mouse click on refresh, select "open in new window" or something , then close the original , you will only have a white screen with refresh, number of players and NO adverts. ;D

I play on the normal server because as SoC pointed out, I've heard the Guardian server tends to be a little glitchy.

I am just use to playing on normal server,Because the guardian is always being tested out on like new stats percentages and the other day the 10% buff to all monsters.
