heh. I won't be around for a while so I'm going to be even more behind... but just so you know, my weapon takes the form of a VibraFoil. think rapier but vibrating at hypersonic speeds and producing music while I fight. cheesy, but the idea works.

Sounds plausible. I think that's OK...
But then again, Seraphia isn't primitive. They use swords, sure, but the technology is so advanced that NS-Hypheros has become obsolete.

Your story is awesome, Chaos! If you still play AQ I might give you some prize when you finish it. I'll check everyone else's story too!

Chapter 10: Target Practise
It took us longer to return to the Citadel than it had to reach the lake, as we were talking about the sort of things the enemy might use. Boulders, Fireballs and Volcanoes were taken as read; we knew there were going to be more subtle spells too, but not what. As we arrived and dismounted, I strode over to the duty Guard. "Hey. Do you know where the warriors train? I need some practise and I thought they might be worth a try." "Of course, sir. They should be in the North Quarter of the city. It's not easy to miss, if you fly over it then you'll see there aren't any buildings there." I thanked him, then turned to Sam and Tyler. "You two should head back to your own Realms for a while. I'll call you if anything happens." Sam nodded and walked back to his Clam, floating away slowly. Tyler just grinned and snapped his fingers, disappearing instantly. Bah. Who taught him to teleport anyway? Ah well. Hey Xenos, any idea of how well-trained these guys will be? :They were a decent match for me, but I wasn't particularly skilled with a blade. I always preferred magical combat. I half-smiled. Shouldn't be a problem, then.
Ten minutes of hovering around later, I finally landed at the Combat Grounds. The soldiers there seemed surprised to see me and I saluted the captain before walking over to him. "Greetings, Captain. I heard the army trained here and I wondered... Would it be alright if I took part in the session?" "Of course, my lord. We'll be starting in a few moments, and you'll need your sword. And maybe some armour. That stuff you're wearing will be torn to shreds by the weapons we use, but it's more resistant to Order's sabres." He marched over to the center of the drill square and bellowed at the recruits. "Right then, you lot! The boss is here to help with your training today, he wants to test your skills and see if you're up to standard. I don't want you letting me down under pressure, got that?" They all stood and walked to their positions. "Right, sir. Feel free to choose any opponent you like." I smiled. Any opponent? "Then I choose... you, on the end." The chosen soldier immediately snapped to attention and marched to one side of the square. "I promise I won't use magic if you don't", I said. He grinned at me. "No worries there, sir. I just don't have the strength for magic. It's a lot tougher than sword-fighting." With that, he drew his weapon: a huge metallic broadsword with strange runes imprinted on the blade. Somehow I recognised it as a weapon called the Edge of the Abyss. How odd.
I pushed the though aside and concentrated. I formed a weapon: a large black glove extended around my right arm, becoming a huge yellow fist as it did so. My left forearm was covered by a golden, elongated sphere: a three-dimensional oval, with the end missing and a gun-like barrel inside. The rest of my body was instantly coated in a thick, gold-like metal, forming a helmet, red eyes (almost like rubies, but totally transparent from my point of view) and purple leg armor with yellow spikes attached. I felt incredibly powerful: stronger and faster than I had ever been. A voice sounded in my ear. "CS-Hadron-KNCKL02 central processor active. Welcome, Lord of Chaos." I grinned and tensed my muscles. The suddenly dumbstruck soldiers were gaping at me, amazed by the feat I had just performed. Creating armor was difficult: doing so in less than a minute even more so. "Ready?"
My opponent recovered quickly, to be fair. Indeed he was almost on top of me by the time I moved. When I did so, however, he seemed to be moving in slow-motion. I leapt back and flipped myself round, rebounding off the wall and back into him. Fist-first. The blow sent him flying into the air, so I jumped after him. Suddenly I realised I could feel my legs shaking. I looked down and saw streams of jet-like exhaust flowing out. Wh..what? What IS this thing? I can... fly? ARGH! I hadn't seen the soldier falling back down again. He had obviously been waiting for an opening and had taken his timing well. I was slammed head-first into the floor; the impact left a crater in the spot where I landed. I felt a burning rage fill my whole being, then roared. It was an almost bestial howl, making everyone jump. I heard later that it had been heard even as far away as Magnetia, the Province of Wind, over a hundred miles away. I then leapt up again, feeling the power release itself. A shockwave flew out of my body, then another. My armor shone a far brighter gold than it had before. I raised the gun-like weapon on my left arm... And slammed it into the floor.
The result was instant. A colossal column of green energy spewed forth from under the soldier, flinging him into the air. I followed at top speed, halting by the apex of his flight. I punched once. The resulting impact actually caused a sonic boom, smashing the windows of the barracks and knocking the other soldiers to the ground and flinging my opponent through a wall. I swore briefly and drifted down, then felt the power dissipate as the new gold layer shattered. "Ugh." I groaned, then collapsed.
When I woke up, I was in some sort of medical area. The gold armor was hung up next to my bed and a serious-looking doctor was standing over me. "Ah, you're awake at last. How do you feel?" "Like I've been hit by a boulder. Then fallen off a cliff. How long have I been out for?" "Nearly a day. You're in remarkably good shape considering you nearly died from that last attack. I saw the whole thing. Actually, the man you hit is absolutely fine, but he conceded the match to you when he realised how much damage you'd taken." Good. He was the only thing I'd really been worried about. I couldn't have forgiven myself if I'd killed him. "Oww... I think I need some more rest. Could you contact the Wind and Water lords and ask them to come and see me? I need to talk to them... And their elementals." He nodded, then left. I sighed, then sank back into the bed. I had used far more energy than I thought in that fight, and recovery from a near-death state takes quite a while.

I have a question. What is Chaos magic capable of?

Hadron, Knuckle Gun, Gatling Gun. Custom Robo Arena. One of the better chapters overall.

pretty good. i'd like to see parts where you see order discussing plans and stuff. that would add a sense of edge to the whole thing.

Hadron, Knuckle Gun, Gatling Gun. Custom Robo Arena. One of the better chapters overall. not quite. actually, it's the Hadron Pod. best one I own and the best one to own with >_> and as a matter of fact, there's another chapter coming with Order's Plans. I won't spoil it... but Aegis already has what I planned to use as the base of it.
