Crystal Cave Quest Guide
Where to start:
You start the quest by speaking to Valencia, who is in front of Yulgar's inn.
What to do:
After asking Valencia about the crystal cave, you will be teleported there.
1.Kill the ruby golem you automatically run into when you appear there. He has a fair amount of gold and experience. There will be at least one more monster that you must fight before you get to the first selection scene. The monsters include worm-warriors and Plodds. An energy weapon is the most likely the best weapon you could use for this.
2.When you get to the selection scene, you will need to chose either up or down. Picking up will eventually lead to a dead end and unnecessary fighting. Chose the down arrow.
3.After choosing the down arrow, you will attacked by an emerald golem. It is weaker than the ruby golem, but you will receive the same experience, but 25 gold less than what you got from the ruby golem. You will then be attacked by one to two more monsters.
4.After the battles, you will again come to a selection scene. The down arrow will lead to about three unnecessary fights. Chose the up arrow.
5.After choosing the up arrow, you might be attacked [needs confirmation; I do not remember if there is a battle(s)]. After the battles [?], you will come to a rock spire that has been knocked down over a gorge. Those that have played Dragon Fable will remember this from one of the earliest quests that is given to you by Warlic. You will go over it and run into a cut scene. A small blue orb will be on the ground in front of you, behind which what seems to be the remains of a tree made of crystal. A blue being made of crystal appears from the right of the screen, and explains that he must punish you for the crimes of your kind.
6.Battle! The creature attacks you. [need name; again, I'm sorry, I forgot... sorry...] is level 60 and is fairly strong. He is strong against earth and light attacks, but weak against wind and darkness. Again, those who play Dragon Fable will remember that the monsters of the crystal cave have similar elemental stats. Battle him. Those with level 4 or higher dracomancer class level should utilize the Dragon Wing technique, and those with necromancer level 1 or higher should equip a dark or wind element weapon and use Undead Giant because of its high amount of damage infliction and relatively low MP cost.
7.After defeating him, another cut scene will initiate. He will explain that a human destroyed there great tree, the Vizalain. All the others of his kind took a seed from the Vizalain to create colonies elsewhere, while he stayed behind to protect the remains of the tree. He gives you the Vizalain Seed.
8.You are now back in Battleon. Open the travel map, and select the Dwarven Mountains. You will be questioned by a Crysbat and then you will plant the seed. The seed will disappear and the cave will shake. A Vizalain will sprout and the cave will grow crystals all over. The Vizalain thanks you for planting her, and a shop menu opens. There are three items, all weapons, each for varying levels, level 0, level 50, and level 70. You can buy one of them or leave. Do not worry, the shop will remain in the dwarven mountains forever.
