Short Movie

The video is done.... Friday, we release our first "short" Cartoon!!!
This is our first ever animated "short" and it is non-stop undead slaying action. It takes place in DoomWood after the war that is happening right now. We have never released anything like this before and because you made it possible for me to create this, I am dedicating it to you. When it goes live we are going to put it on Google Video, YouTube and here on the site for everyone to download. We want to show this to the entire world -- who knows, maybe if we get it in front of enough people and they like it, we will end up with our own TV Show! When it goes live, lets put it everywhere and show everyone!

Why is it called a "Short"?
I wanted to produce something like those short Starwars animations they had on the Cartoon Network right before they released Episode II. This animation is about 3 minutes long and almost entirely action.

How did you make it?
We stole an animator from the Cartoon Network (Seriously) and ran up a hefty phone bill with Galanoth, him, and myself -- not to mention a lot of long wait times uploading. Miltonius is a gifted animator and working with him on this project has been a blast. He was also the one who did the AdventureQuest intro video and the Amityvale intro scene.

Alright, well the video has not been released at the time of this post, but when you DO SEE IT on Friday you will most likely recognize the song. It is called "Down and Out in the Fields of Agony" which was created by Warlic (and his first band) when we were in High School. It has a very special meaning to me.... and is an important part of our history and friendship.

Friday when the clock strikes Noon! (Server time).

Yea, let's hope it's half decent, because I'm STILL mad about the fact they removed the bloodsquirts from the AQ intro movie! D:<

So you're saying that before they took out the blood it was cool, but after they removed the blood it wasn't? What's the difference aside from a few poorly rendered splotches of red? I mean seriously. If you need to see blood to enjoy something, I know a great therapist you can pay a visit to.

i'm not saying it made too much of a difference, it just numbed the performance a bit and it felt disapointing because they had to edit it to make it THAT veiwer friendly, it made it look pathetic. I hope you see where I'm coming from now. I'm not some blood crazed freak who enjoyes violence, I'm a perfectly normal person wondering how far child censorship's gonna go before they start making them spell glasses 'gl***es'.

I'm saying that taking out the blood shouldn't make it look pathetic.

There are some things that editing just doesn't make a whole lot of difference on. This was one of them. >_> Personally I thought it was an improvement, the blood just did NOT look right.

I don't know, I guess I'm just fed up of AE bringing something ace out then messing it up, I automatically though it was worse...I dunno...

Well, it was their FIRST short, so I say very good work. Since they did remove the blood, you guys have to remember that there are many kids under 13 who play AQ and DF too, so you'll have to expect these things. Otherwise, Artix and Co. would get a numerous amount of complaints from the parents who will feel their children are being "tainted" by the gore.

Also, the synching wasn't bad. I enjoyed the fact that they used some sound from AQ, brought back fond memories, and overall it got me excited. Definitely nice stuff.

when they said the thing would countinue IN dragonfable does it mean we will fight that uhh... necromancer?or there would be another movie i like the sound while they were fighting,and why would there be blood heres y
