You should have said that in the first place.
We always kill everything we see already though. Besides the Cor-demi, simply because they teleport away.
I'd so MURDER those things.
But anyway.. real assassination class should have a minigame/puzzle for you to get past the guards, to the target, kill him/her/it and then return without being noticed. And it'd have to be a quick kill as well, since a real combat would just alarm the guards and you'd have to slaughter everyone.
To make the players really think in the class quest, if the above mentioned happens and you are discovered, you can complete your task, but you don't get a level up in the class for it.

You think AQ would actually do something like that for a class quest? :P

No.
The staff themselves have said that they don't have the time anymore to make great events such as the Great Fire War was, because the players will start whining when they don't get things their way. Well, that's not their reason, but it's the way I see it. They didn't even post any explanation that I remember but yeah.
They just don't have the time to make anything good and original, such as GWF was when it appeared(remember when AQ had walkaround quests? Yeah, me neither), and that's why every quest is so linear it makes me cringe thinking about it.

Which is as old as the Internet itself. Seriously. That was done back in, what. '05 or '06? And that's pretty much it. I think it was the beta version before we had those few walkarounds in GFW, but then walkaround went over to DF and AQ couldn't have it anymore because 'it's DF-land now'. Stupid reason in my opinion.
The wars might have some variety if we had to make our way through a real battleground, instead of the same old 'click Attack! and kill the enemy that pops up'.
But noo.. players start crying, must chuck out things every week no matter how poorly done or buggy they are.
If I had one wish, I'd use it to beat up every player ever. Or at least beat some sense into them.
Depends on my mood really. Either random violence, or bringing up the quality of the playerbase of the game.

I agree.Rather twice, or even once per month, than this.
But they may set a number of turns.Something like the Circle of Doom?

I've never actually fought a Circle of Doom, but I look forward to it.

"Hey, here's an idea, let's release a monster that kills you if you don't meet a certain DPS, to screw over all the people who build for DPT!" And reverse too! If you really want to get higher level of Assassination, just grab a CFTFD. Anyway, monsters aren't very smart, with the expection of Cor-Demi.Why let opponent whack you for 10 turns, while you throw only some needles, when you can just kill it like frogzard.

Quite idiotic still to not charge your weapons when not fighting in the world of AQ.

No certain releasedate, just the design notes. Probably before the end of this year, but that's it.
