The Reset caused another timeline and probably restarted everyone's lifespans. While Moglins are not immortal, a certain event in the Nowhere quest on AQ proves they live longer than humans.

LoC: Just because Warlic has a hand in designing mechas, doesn't mean he actually rides them. Sadly I can see that happening, but I wouldn't be sure to use something I engineered, if I had other, more important things to do.

if someone's going to design a mech that badass they'd have to have the knowledge of how to integrate the mana weapons into existing mech designs. Those with the most knowledge of mechs are mechanics or mech pilots, and I can't see warlic attacking people with wrenches for getting in the way. actually I can, but that's not the point.

Mecha piloting =/= ability to create a mecha chassis.

Moglin lifespan is 400-500 years, which incidentally is about the same for the Drakels.
THE MORE YOU KNOW.

Mecha piloting =/= ability to create a mecha chassis. not talking about the chassis. Imagine how tough it would be to integrate magic into modern technology. You'd need to stabilise it, find a non-hazardous source, find a way of drawing energy FROM the source, make sure the objects could actually contain the power (because exploding computers aren't much use), make it cost-effective AND make sure it's useable by average people. If you can do all of that, you probably have some expertise in the field of how it works and also how to operate them. besides, how did he get to be the head of a mech university if he had no knowledge of the subject?

I'm asking for the ending of this debate due to the fact that it makes both of us look like geeks who have nothing better to do than to argue what an old man NPC in a Flash game can and cannot do.
And to keep myself from looking like the type of person who says "lets just drop this okay" due to having run out of arguments, have this.
Fine, I probably shouldn't have used chassis, but anyway. Sufficiently advanced technology is almost indistinguishable from Magic. Just because its called Magic, doesn't mean it's actually THE magic we know. Might be manipulating matter in an atomic level to do firetricks, or then it might be real Magic, which still doesn't mean that Warlic is an expert of Mecha and a kickarse pilot.
Just because he helped in the designing of a weapon which allows a Mecha to use Magic(please god, no more, I want my machineguns) dpesn't mean he actually does what you say.
He just knows Magic and how to incorporate it. Trial and error building, perhaps?

don't know, but I was about to say the same abou finishing the argument. it DOES say the weapons are mana-powered, though, which implies it's magic in the AQ/DF sense of the word.

I'd say that there's a difference with casting spells with Magic than there is using a machine to draw Mana and do stuff with it, but lets not go down that road.

the Apprentice Fireball weapons kinda make me wonder what the hell Mana is anyway.

Wow, hardcore guys.
I really like the concept of mechquest, however I can't seem to find any way to earn money consitantly.
Any ideas on where I can farm?

..you are asking about farming in a game with, what, three zones to fight(the Shuttle Battle and the Soluna Battle options seem one and the same so yeah).
Hit the Battle button until your fingers bleed. Get 700k. Cry and go to sleep, because no one will ever love you.
