Yeah Shadow, I do believe we now have Uber Misc. items on our hands. Has anybody tried activating more than one?

yeah. it's lame, but if you could equip all of them they'd be nerfed.
maybe they'll become valuable but non-boosting when the Rider leaves?

he probably won't have that much gold and the chances are he won't be easily farmable.

no chance. even with the blade it should be a challenge. charging us 400 gold to fight a monster which we can kill in seconds is no fun.
besides, I intend to try and beat him without UM. that should make it harder... luckily I have Heal Wounds now.
