edit: fair enough. I just noticed this is the only armor in the game capable of holding your weapon and shield on the same arm. woot for metallic spikey of doom!

on another note, I just got the armor, shield and pet. it rocks ^_^ I just wish I'd been able to get the weapon too, it sounds like DF's Cordemi Codexes but with a living creature.

heh. not Uber, but definitely worthy of being Semi-Uber. I just fought Drakath the Dracolich (old version!) with that and my RUB equipped and I crushed him. the special rate is abnormally high in this armor...

So your saying it's worth a whopping 6k Z-tokens?I bought the armour and shield last night but just couldn't bring myself to pay 6k for a weapon.I mean that costs more than my house so it better do something unbelievable like summon a clone of Nemu-Sama's and xelementals that form a battle line and demolish my enemies.

Anyway:

HOW TO GET THE MODIFIER UP TO 100:

equip armor.
Wait for three enemy HITS, not turns. The defense should be up to 55+(whatever shield you need is) at this point.

NOW click on either the helm, shoulder, or chest, and this should get you up to 65 without a shield.

NEXT, if you have a misc item that gives +10 in that defense, and this makes it 75 without a shield, add an S shield, and you have 100 in a modifier.

The shield gives +10% in first four elements and -10% in last four, starting defenses 5/5/5.However, those ones seem to get better, as certain someone * cough* had here 100 with shield, with looking at the above, gives you +25 on shield.

Armor attack is for FP 1 hit of 100/100/100, G 2 or 3 hits of same damage, rates unknown, assumed to be 50-50.

Now, with 100 Melee, 200 DEX and 37.5 LUK, Kel-Al Relish shouldn't be able to hit you for eternity.

In other words, I think it should have been made into a Ninja armor.

Also, fry, belive me, but you can deal out much more damage than me and Faye(Nemu).
AQ just won't let us train our INT to 285-300(depends on what stargery to use in order to maximize, game doesn't count after 300 anyway.....Hey!, that makes me wonder, what is the point of Kel- Al Relish having 350 STR, with gives as conclusion that it's BTH is actually 18.75, so you need only 190 DEX and 100 Melee defense to block it all, assuming that appiles to monsters too).

The weapon doesn't look like it's worth, altough it's probaly the first three-type weapon avilable, it does earth damage, making it suck

The pet is 2 base short of Razorclaw = very good.

PS: I can very much bring myself to pay 6kz for token Ice katana.I'm wondering now, shall I buy MIK, or wait and train up some time, then shift to warrior and buy EIK.

Well it's hard enough for me to part with Z-tokens as it is much less 6k for an earth weapon.Maybe if I could get rid of/move the one I have but I don't see much need to have 2 earth weapons taking up all that room unless it's super uber.The armour and shield seem pretty nifty for lower level players but I still love my ubers.

P.S. I doubt I could chose between the two IK either,they're so close in specs they ought to just combine them or something.

Exactly. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to buy an Earth-element weapon. We are forced to carry one for free, why pay out that kind of money for another one? Even if the damage is signifigantly increased, is it worth not having some other element weapon?

the reason the weapon costs so much is you can change it between Melee, Magic and Ranged. I think it takes stat bonuses for all of them.

edit: hey, guess what. THEY NERFED IT. it costs 40 SP to activate a defense bonus now.

edit again: actually, I take that back. it takes longer to activate them, yes, but they haven't nerfed the actual defenses. fighting Frogzard will get boring, as will doing the Triple Challenge to restock on potions, but at least it still works. sort of.

They also added a single hit that happens 25% of the time and if you switch shields after you buff your defenses your elemental resistances reset. They also capped the elemental resistances at 50 and the defense at 100.

With shadow cloak + shadow bones + HORD you get 22 at darkness def

Actually it is 17 if you are fighting something that does dark damage.

I don't know what the point of any of those uber monsters are.Sure I don't mind having a challenge but he is insanely tough and thats for someone of my level,imagine running into him at a much lower level, and on top of that now theres so called "undefeatable" monsters,if they're only purpose is to catch cheaters,well it's not a secret so they'll figure it out and if they're sole purpose is to be a part of a story line where they're needed then make it so you don't fight them themselves,maybe a representative or second in command or something,anything other than having an undefeatable that you run into thinking you can win and taking forever to try to beat only to lose and later find out it's undefeatable.I'm not sure if it's happened to me in AQ but i've ran into stuff like that on console gaming and that just ruins the mood,you battle some uber boss for over an hour because you've honed your skill that well over the course of the game only to lose and find out it was never possible to win because it was part of the story line,LAME!

P.S. undefeatable wasn't in the spell check list so I probably misspelled it.
