Yeah, I don't have a house. Some people say it's like investing in the stock market, but what they forget is, markets crash.

Forest Log House. 5800 Tokens.
And Draco: The stock market argument is valid with the gems. The house keeps on going up by its price at a set date, which is a week. So yeah. Investing in a house will pay you up with a number of Tokens, if you are aiming at something.
First I was thinking of getting Celestia whenever I would have enough Tokens to buy it, and my Log House back. Now that I've started to play again to get back the gold I've lost to all my purchases, I've slowly started to regain my Tokens, so I'll probably just get Celestia the oldfashioned wayl

iceberg: What I meant was, all it takes is the staff deciding too many people are gaining too many tokens too fast by 'investing' in a house, and those tokens become uselessly locked in a house system that shouldn't even be available yet because it offers none of the target features the staff gives for the House system.

5% of a number of Tokens you originally spent on the house of your choice is hardly "too many Tokens". It's once a week, if you are a player who plays once a week, then your Token rate would be "good" considering your amount of time spent ingame, but it also hurts you since you miss the Tokens you would lose from battling monsters.
If the staff would do something that you describe, it'd seriously be them shooting themselves in the foot. Since they have released the houses with this feature, it will most likely mean that they already have an idea how the houses will be costing. Most likely the next house released will have an "insane" cost, 10k Tokens or more, and as a reward for those who bother buying it, either ingame Tokens or purchased ones, they receive the weekly price boost.
I see nothing broken about it that could make the staff take away that, or edit it in anyway.
Also, you don't get those Tokens unless you sell your house, and if you want to reap further Tokens, you have to buy the house back. It is a working system in my opinion.

The token system works. However the House system does not yet offer any of the target features that the staff named when they began the House system. Currently, it is only a Z-Token dump. There are no extra storage spaces associated with them yet, they do not yet allow you to refill/horde potions - none of the game-affecting aspects of owning a House that the staff has said they intend to implement have yet reared their heads. Yet they released the House system anyway.
I can very easily see the staff coming to a point where they have to 'wipe' current houses to begin implementing those changes once they do start coming. And sure, they'll do something like give all house owners a small amount of Z-tokens to compensate, but it won't be anywhere near the final worth of the home in Z-Tokens.
I am not investing anything into the House system until it is actually finished. Especially not something hard to come by like my Z-Tokens.

Err. They do give more itemspace. I know my Log House did give me at least one more to all equipment. Or was it two?
Anyway. The only things that they have promised, and hasn't appeared yet, are the small things like that Trobble farm they said about, or other things like that which bring a small income of gold. My house restores potions too, but only 15 of both type.

Mine gives 2 extra inventory spaces. I bought it at 4k and now it's 6.2k worth.
