Actually, Custom beats it, If I didn't misunderstood.
Well, mages have new best energy weapon that beats the last best energy weapon in- armor by 2-4 damage per turn.Whoohoo, I'm surely goonna buy this!!one!1
Actually I could, but I don't think I should loop around 25K just because of that.

Go ahead, the Custom Weapon only wins when you have it finished at level 90+, and the other weapon that beats it is Reignbringer.

Try UAQ data. Click all weapon, sort them by Average damage and scroll down to your magic weapon at your level.

Far from smart.....I compared two melee weapons, BTW.Also, currently LV 88 Machete is the best mage attack energy weapon avilable followed up by The Exterminator(85).
However, most mages use just Lighting Rod, and ,say, Fire weapon.Or light weapon.Or earth weapon.Or something else instead of Light attacking weapon.

Lightning rd requires MP to outdamage the other 2. Lightning Rod also gives a boost to your spells and it can be stacked with IronThorn, Poelala, and the Guardian Robes.

Er.....Nemu.I said "best mage attack energy weapon". Since LR doesn't actually perform any attacks, I don't consider it as an attack weapon but spellcasting weapon.

Nope. They're coded as spell, which makes them trigger with Guardian Robes. If they were just specials, they would suck. Casting Spell is totally irrevalent to your armor attack modifiers, unless you're wielding no-drops, so I don't consider that as an attacking. Ranged 100% weapons, while not being exatly same, share the same idea, don't accept armor modifiers and so they're rather kind of spells that do ranged damage.
