Koofu ... Yikes!!!

It seems to be a very good quest for exp/gold, but some of the monsters are REALLY REALLY nasty!!

This quest can be a real problem for ppl who play AQ from comp cafe's, as you need to stay logged in for several days to complete the quest (10 of 16 gems to choose from, 1 egg, lg pebbles, sm pebbles, shiney pebbles) to create 1 koofu .... wheeew!!!

I've seen posts on AQ forum that says once you hit 50 items, that you then get 5 items per mining instead of 1. Haven't gotten there yet to confirm this, but that sure would help. I don't know if the AI keeps track of your 'mining skill' if you log off though.

I discovered a 'hot spot' inside the mines to heal/replace HPs and MPs without having to leave the mine, then return by talking to Alana (via 33 clicks .....grrrrrr.....this makes me CRAZY). I don't think it's considered a spoiler if I don't say 'where' in the mine... but it's there Took me 2 hours to discover it

UPDATE: After 50 mining sessions, you then get 2 items each time. Still haven't gotten a koofu yet, so can't say if this quest is worth the time. The monsters are tough, though.

UPDATE #2: Mining 'skill' is kept after logging off, or as in my case, traveling to 'Sinister 7 War' in order to obtain a Helm of Drakonnen, going thru that entire quest ... then getting stuck there!! (I was 1 gem away from my first koofu, got stuck in 'Sinister 7 War' and couldn't get back to Battleon) Had to log off ... Lost all the gems, etc. I had gathered for 2 whole days ...... grrrrr!!

Not sure if it's worth it, yet I've seen some ppl have a complete set of them. I can't even imagine how much time that had to take. I'm basically doing it for the exp and money for now.

No, you have to collect 10 of the type you want. There's 2 class...Once yo've collected 10 of the jewels, get 1 koofu egg, some large pebble, some small pebbles, and some shiny pebble. Then you can buy a Koofu Kaller or only that type of koofu. It summons a guess. The item gives no bonus but if you click on it, aa Koofu appears by your side. This qust is crazy i had to leave my CPU on 2 days to get a Koofu Kaller. THEY'RE NOT WORTH IT!!!

I'm presuming they are permanent, since you get a koofu caller as a miscellaneous item to summon it. So it's probably the same as other summoned guests ... permanent. This is just a guess on my part.

you buy the Koofu Caller and the item is infinite-use. However, when you log out you lose all the items you collected except a Caller if you got one. the Callers take days to finish collecting gems for >_>
