I've been doing the shadow quest for 30 minutes now(found a way to get to the end yes all the way) I was found by the army and they wont die!! Do they just keep coming or do they eventually run out?

Is "The Army" the actual monster name? Maybe it's just like that Drakel War Party or that one Golem Magician person. Just gotta hope that another monster isn't spawned.

no the undead army that you have to roll to evade I have gone through about 10-15 battles now

The Army of the Undead consists of I believe about 20+ battles. I went through them, and I have to tell you they just wouldn't end.

I finally finished it god that was a long battle. What is better shadow or reign armors(pure mage) and shadow/reign weapon?

Armour wise for a mage I'd say go for Shadow first. Great defense and wicked offense. Reign should be second choice.
Ontopic: I hate the undead Army.

me too. Right after I beat them all I had a fight with a privellag and then had to fight eran the dragon(wtf ever) needless to say I died and I'm a little pissed.
wait isn't the shadow weapon ranged?I'm gonna get the armor anyways but not tonight

yeah, the Shadowspear is ranged. it can attack normally though.
I hope you brought potions and possibly a revival armour to finish it.

Or the RUB. It's a life-saver in a razor-sharp package. Zigarat was easy for me when I had Penumbral Cloak and the RUB. I didn't even lose half of my HP, since I kept draining it back every 3rd turn.
Since I don't want to make a topic about it, which set is better for a Warrior Hybrid: Reign, Nightmare, or Shadow?

Reynar's Ultimate Blade, a melee weapon that has a special that heals you and does I'm told middling-to-average damage to the mob.

RUB steals 10% of their HP and adds it to you, in addition to doing just-below-average Light damage on it's first hit. I think it's a 8-26 weapon with 10% BTH.
