And sirens never were about seduction.
Seductresses, sure, but the song they sang was nothing more but a hypnotic trick to get males to approach and be lured to them. The song that ends in death, and all that.

...Of course it looks better. It's a sword as opposed to a mace. Have you even seen a REALLY good-looking mace? Only one I can think of is the assorted Mauls from Asgardian, etc.
