sorry, got sidetracked.
Chapter 9: Chaos Theory
Order turned away from us again, facing towards the lake. "Recently, I have been... visited, I suppose... by a being calling himself Dis Manibus. But visited in dreams. It has happened twice now, but the second time I recieved a weapon from him. I don't know how it works, but it seems to react to my element. The odd thing is that the weapon was still in my hand when I woke up later. Do you know anything about this?" "Yes. I've been having the same sort of dream, but the being I saw was called Zero. I also recieved weapons, but I don't know where they went afterwards." He looked at me in a slightly unnerving way, as if he were looking into me, not seeing me. I felt as if someone were probing my mind and immediately raised a mental barrier. He grunted and looked away again. If he's going to keep trying to read my mind, I need to be careful here. I wonder if he saw anything else in the dream. "Did you ever see anything else in the dreams?" "Yes, actually. There were two beings fighting in the second one, and when I had the first one my armor was totally black and my weapon had changed into a black energy sword." "Have any of you others had a dream like this?" They all nodded. This didn't look like a coincidence any more. "Something must be wrong, somewhere." Order chuckled quietly. "Ah, but where? You may have been able to recieve the dreams, but how can you trace their origins?" I swore mentally. He was right. Dreams were not like letters: they were just... there. You couldn't ask one where it came from.
Or could you?
I heard a voice in my head. Xenos? What's wrong? :I should have told you before... I recognised Zero when you saw him last. He is a Seraphim, a being from a dimension parallel to this one. I don't know how you could contact him like that, though. You could have told me. I think I've just had an idea as to how this works. I grinned. "Hey, Order. Have you ever heard the idea of parallel dimensions?" He frowned. "Basic physics. Focus enough energy on one point and it will either duplicate what you call the Big Bang or create a tear in the Space-Time Continuum." "Well, isn't it possible that our magic is a large enough source of energy to create temporary holes while we're not controlling it?" He gaped at me. "For a newly-trained ChaosLord, you're pretty smart. Yes, it's plausible. But why always the same dimension? Why not different ones?" "Because the beings we're seeing are our counterparts in another world. I somehow managed to hear a few of Zero's thoughts during our last encounter; He was concerned about an attack by one Dis Manibus on their city. Apparently Zero knew a lot about both his own magic and that of the other being. His magic is similar to Chaos, while Dis Manibus wields magic which resembles yours. I would guess that by concentrating we would be able to influence their actions to some extent, with enough power. But I don't think most of us have enough magic. Indeed, it's possible that they are having a meeting at a point in their world corresponding to this one, on this subject. Or have already had one." He looked around, seemingly scanning for anything unusual. Nothing.
"Hmf. Well, if they are it's not relating to events here. I suppose that at least tells me what's happening or happened. You can go now, if you want to." He snapped his fingers and the vast Phoenix flew over to land next to him. Leaping up, he shouted to his allies to hurry up and get back to his city. They both called their beasts over. Fire left immediately, but Earth remained for a few moments. "Good luck with beating him. You'll need it." With that, the Golem picked him up and walked away.
I smiled slightly. "That went better than I expected. We should probably be getting back to my city. Now we've met the others, I want to see what sort of an army we each have." I hovered up onto Zorias' back, then ordered him to set off back to the Citadel. Sam's fish didn't seem keen to leave the lake, so he cast a quick spell to send it back to his own city, then summoned a giant floating Clam instead. He hopped inside it, then followed me. Tyler took a little longer to wake his eagle up, but once it was awake they left quickly
Right. Combat practise, here I come. I just hope my army is as well-trained as the Archer earlier...

Good, but kinda short. I personally haven't been working on mine because my computer's busted, and I use my dad's laptop for only 15 minutes. And it's temporal, not temporary.

no, it's temporary. as in, it's there but not permanently. they connect regions of similar time across dimensional rifts, so it's really through space rather than time.

are my posts invisible? how about a three way crossover?

three-way crossover... tough but I may be able to fit it. I need to catch up MINE to the point where it's up with BSZ's, and that could be tough given that it's at a point near one of my last chapters...

*smiles*
Then again, I don't think we can align THREE universes. I have no idea how Celestius or Dis Manibus will fit in Ieuan's story.
