Put the online for PS3 right beside Xbox Live, and you will quickly see that Sony's online plan is inferior to Microsoft's. You have to remember that Xbox Live has a 4 year headstart, and their idea is their own. The PSOnline is basically Sony's desperate attempt to compete with Microsoft's Xbox Live service. They fail. Miserably.

the multi consol play started with nintendos gameboy. if were not talking about handheld and the online psp stuff then yes xbox did get a headstart, but when you look at it, the 360 is just a normal xbox with wirless controlers and a little better graphics. thats about it.

No, the Xbox Live serves made it's debut on something liek November 15, 2003, and the PSP didn't come out until either 2004 or early 2005, so Xbox Live was the first online service.
When you look at it, the PS3, it is just a normal PS2 with slightly better graphics than a 360, a 360-rip-off wireless controller with a wannabe Wii motion sensing gimmick and NO RUMBLE, and a new but crappy online plan. That's it.

it's not a crappy wii rip off controller. it's wireless because it wuld seem pretty stupid to stick to wired when the other consoles have moved on, and it's sixaxis so its actually ttally different type of motion sensing to the wii. but an inferior one of that. technically the ps3 remote is better then the 360's. it's not a chuncky either.

Miserably. I agree. The XBox Live's potential is great- You can see and contact others online, and actually VIEW their avatars/profiles/depictions. This is Nintendo's disadvantage. PS3, out of the three Majors (Wii, XBox360, PS3) is the absolute WORST. I mean, it JUST came out with an online thing. While Nintendo first released it on DS and Microsoft on XBox, the PS systems have always fallen behind with games that have good graphics and a crappy storyline, and not very many multiplayer games or built-in services. Wii, on the other hand, has Miis, the news, the forecast, and comes with a game- WiiSports! Not to mention the new two-controller thing, the Wii is utterly FUTURISTIC! It has motion-controlled remotes, and it's basically a space-age console. I honestly see Wii as the second step to virtual reality, after the DS. XBox 360 is a good console overall. It provides an online service, and most (9/10) games are compatible with it. Halo 2 is really fun. How do I know this? My friend owns all 3 Majors (Three 360s!). I've seen all of them. (Not to mention, I own a Wii and a DS) |

the ps3 has had games that totally suck like genji and the gundam one. apart from them i think all the other games were good.

Sorry, Ieuan, but I can't use the Sixaxis, and this is one of the reasons that I think the PS3 fails. In big action scenes with lots of explosions on the 360, your speakers blast the sound and your controller rumbles to immerse in the experience. On the PS3? NOTHING. The motion sensor gimmick is not enough to make up for the lack of rumble, while the Wiimote is innovative enough to pass.
After getting used to GOOD controllers and/or innovative controllers, the Sixaxis controller seems more like it's going back one generation instead of trying to be "next-gen."

Not every PS3 game can be DMC. For most of the PS3's games, it is just a gimmick that serves little real purpose. They honestly would have been better off putting rumble in the controller or delaying the PS3's launch until November 2008 (PS2 could support them, it's still selling strong) and tried to come up with a motion senser that isn't just an afterthought.

For most of the PS3's games, it is just a gimmick that serves little real purpose. when you think about it it's not just a gimmick. personally i would rather have a sixaxis than a rumble. when you look at it rumble is jus, well, rumble. it's not that realistic when you look at it. when a tank on halo explodes right next to you, you wouldn't just feel a slight rumble in your hands. and dmc doesn't have sixaxis i think. i was just using the highest difficulty to express the fact it's for those who like a challenge. not everyone plays games just for the challenge but the sixaxis is fun which is why the ps3 beacame the most sold console upon release. xbox did come out with the online stuff first but it was a universal idea to start with. nothing was stolen. and i do think the ps3 is uber because once again onlines come free! and i got the wii the day it came out. proud nintendo fan boy thankyou. |
