LOL.
It's quite nice, but doesn't have any real "point" behind it.
I enjoyed the series, though.
And word girly doesn't justify it....altough the main charater is cross-dressing girl in a host club, it doesn't make it girly.....They just make business from their looks.

difference from other anime?
gundam, inuyasha, naruto, dbz, bleach, outlaw star, shaman king, cowboy bebop, escaflowne, evanglion all have fighting!
ouran, just great and away till abstract.

What makes you think fighting is good?
There are always people who die or get hurt.And it destroys peoples mind.In the end, you lose thinking of this as killing, or go easy on it.A good excuse will make way for worse ones.
We don't actually think about that we kill in Battleon.We just cut them with sword, spike them, shoot them, etc......
And even if someone says the word, it doesn't matter to others.
This makes me think that other than romance and slice of life animes, there aren't much animes without fighting.That should be quite strange, taking into consideration the real thing behind fighting.
EDIT: NVM, you appareantly don't, so ignore that question.

meh, i'm a pacifist. i can protect myself but i dont ever intentionally hurt someone. anime like that i find interesting because it's just my type of stuff, i'm not one of those freaktards who want to ban anything i dont like.

Gundam's fighting has a point behind it. It has psychological beliefs behind the stuff, as does EVA.

MOST Gundam had a point. Gundam Wing was just an excuse to have feminine boys fight things in badass-looking mobile suits.

War in the Pocket and 08th MS Team are actually some of my favorite anime series. I loved 08th MS Team more though.
Unlike most people, the original Mobile Suit Gundam just really gets on my nerves. Amuro is such a whiny little !@#$% it totally destroys any enjoyable moments.
Oddly enough I was put off on EVA for close to the same reason. Shinji is so friggin' annoying as a character that he totally distracts the viewer from any enjoyable elements.
