Faye: How's the bleach game?
AZNAce: Chocobo Tales ROCKS! But there are like 5 puzzles I will NEVER finish. I may need an action replay to get 100%. I hate it when Square puts impossible twitch puzzles in games that are clearly designed for just goofy kid fun. Puzzle/minigames I have problems with :
1. Malboro Pop. It's a 3x3 grid, like the bop a mole games. You gotta hit 130 of them to get 100%. I can get up to 117, but at the very end they all pop up at the same time and you have less than 2 seconds to hit all 9 at once. I just can't do that. It's way too twitchy.
2. Stab a Jar luck based game. You have to survive 20 rounds. Each round you are given one of 4 faces of the jar. Each face has a number of hols where you stab. There's 2 holes, 3 holes, 4 holes, 5 holes. You only have maximum of 10 swords at any one time. What you do is stab a hole and hope it hits the guy inside the jar, if you do you keep your sword, if you don't doesn't he keeps a sword. If you hit him on the first try you gain 1 sword and keep your sword.
Basically, you have 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 = 120 x 5 sets (for 20 rounds) = 1 in 600 of getting a hole in one on each turn. Divide that by 10 = 1 in 60 chance of completing the mini-game provided you don't get any holes in one (1.6% chance each time you play).
Basically for the next 140 attempts I'm just going to keep tapping the same hole position during each round until lady luck smiles upon me and gives me a 100% complete.
edit - WOW I actually got that sword one done yay
There're another two mini games I am having probs with but other than that I absolutely love the game.
PLUS I get to hear my favorite game song of all time played on different renditions
THE CHOCOBO SONG!
I've loved that song ever since the first time I heard it in Final Fantasy Adventure (Seiken Densetsu), the introduction of the chocobo when a chocobo discovers you and saves you then later becomes a cyber enhanced chocobo after breaking his legs to save your life. Chocobos RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lost in the Blue 2 is very difficult, I agree, but I enjoy puzzle games. I doubt I'll ever finish it, but I'm definitely going to be playing it for a while
It's a game like AGON or Journey to the Center of the Earth or ZORK where I'll keep going back to it when I want to exercise my brain.
