It seems you're going to have to choose. Once you've made your descision, and if it happens to be the other that you want to be with, try to break up gradually, slowly becoming more withdrawn, so she barely realises. By then when you give her the word she might even expect it. Then, you're free to do what you like in the general direction of your truly loved one. Plus, if it doesn't work out, you could always try going back, since she probably won't resent.

You may be seen by some of your friends as rather reclusive, slightly pouty and maybe; slightly depressed. You're a Buddhist which means the to probably get even more nervous around people, incase of bad impressions/comments, if not, well done.
